INTRODUCTION:

Good evening everyone! Welcome to Roberto’s Place! Welcome to a night of sports in

celebration of a wonderful life for a girl who is now turning into a fine lady. All of you who are
here tonight have watched her grow over the years into the wonderful person she is now. As a
jumpstart, let us all welcome and acknowledge the ever supportive and loving family of our
debutant.

ENTRANCE OF THE FAMILY

Father: A retired member of the Philippine National Police, Mr. Gabriel Pon
Mother: A full time mom of the 3 siblings, Mrs. Gemma Pon
Siblings: AJ and Benok Pon

To open tonight’s celebration, here’s a quick look of how this lovely and sporty young lady

GRAND ENTRANCE OF THE DEBUTANT

Tonight is a celebration of adulthood and a thanksgiving of the life God has given to our love
celebrant. Let us put our hands together, as we welcome the main highlight of this celebration,
and as she stepped into a higher level of life. Ladies and gentlemen, our debutant, Kressel Cate
Boone Pon!

(After settling down)

Wow! Blooming and lovely indeed! Where did her looks come from? From Gab or Gemma? Oh
well, we won’t dwell on that because we will spend the whole night discussing about it.
Anyway, we would like to thank Sandra for making Kasang looked wonderful tonight. Evidently,
before tonight, Kasang has had happy years in a very happy home. The love of a family will
always be God’s greatest blessing. They said, in life we can have several friends, classmates, and
social circles, but there is only one family who is always willing and ready to welcome us no
matter what.

1. Father – In what age do you want Kasang to get married?
2. Mother – What characters and attributes do you want Kasang to find in a man? Is it the
same with Gab’s?
3. Sibling – Who is Kasang’s ultimate crush?; What’s her favorite sleeping position? What

18 ROSES

Like a pretty flower that attracts bees and butterflies, Kasang will be surrounded by 18 equally
handsome gentlemen who will represent the debutant’s 18 roses. This flower equates the
traditional 18 roses during debuts.

The first one to dance is of course reserved to the forever most handsome and most loving guy
in her life. To dance with our debutant, ladies and gentlemen, Papa Gabby Pon.

The father and daughter dance is probably one of the most loved traditions in any Filipino
debut celebration. This signifies the daughter’s first step to womanhood and the father’s
acceptance of this period in his daughter’s life.

Thank you Gabs. The second one would be Ailoone. Kasang’s Kuya.

18 CANDLES

Seems like our gorgeous debutant really enjoyed the night. There is a saying that goes like this:
“Where there is great love, there are always wishes. Because birthdays are always new
beginnings, new endeavors with new set of goals, sending birthday messages and wishes is a
tradition especially in our country, where we give high value to family ties and relationship.
Tonight, ladies and gentlemen, I present to you these 18 wishers for our debutant. These are
the people close to the heart of our celebrant, and whom she listens and confides to for
inspiring words and friendly advice. You could wish her the best in life like finding happiness in
simplicity, the best for her career, success in her daily endeavors, or wish her many more
birthdays to come.
Starting off with the woman dearest to Kasang’s heart, representing the mother candle that will
be a source of light for all the well-wishers for our debutant, here’s Mama Gemma Pon!

Thank you Mama Gemma. And to start with the remaining well-wishers, may I call on Toni
Boone to entertain us with a song. And after you render that special song, you can immediately
give your wish to Kasang.

BLOWING OF THE CANDLES/CAKE

Let me share another good-to-know trivia to everyone on how birthday cakes and candles came
about as a tradition during birthdays. Some believe that the tradition of birthday candles began
in Ancient Greece. Putting candles on a cake was a special way to pay tribute to the Greek
moon goddess, Artemis. They baked round cakes to symbolize the moon. Candles were added
to represent the reflected moonlight. Today’s tradition of making wishes before blowing out
the birthday candles may have started with that belief. Enough of all those did-you-know trivia
because at this part of the program, our lovely and stunning Kasang will blow the candles on
her birthday cake. And to complete that customary practice, let us all sing joyfully a song I am
very sure everybody is familiar with, the happy birthday song!

Many ancient cultures believed that smoke carried their prayers to the heavens. So, at the
count of three, Mama Gemma and members of the 18 Candles, let’s say “May all our wishes
come trye” and blow our candles together. 1, 2 and 3…

Thank you so much guyz! And we would like to thank Judith Balba for the beautiful cake we
have here.

DINNER

At this moment, I’d like to request everybody to please stand as we say our prayer before meals
to be led by _____________________________.

We would like to say thank you to Bobby Bides and his crew for the wonderful accommodation
we have here.

And I would also like to thank _______________ for making us beautiful tonight. Thank you so

To fill the room with music while we are having our dinner, we will be entertained by a concert
with some of Kasang’s friends.

Ladies and gentlemen, that was __________________. Tonight is definitely filled with a bundle
of surprises for our dear debutant. Adding up to the list, here are people who will render
another playlist.

18 TREASURES

Each of the 18 guests present the debutant with a meaningful gift. Eighteen treasures in a
debut party refers to a tradition at debutant parties. It has been customary to have these 18
treasures because it is a way of acknowledging the value of the gift and that the debutante
feels that those people have contributed so much in her life. She feels that they have been part
of what she is now and what she would become in the future and she would want to show that
appreciation by her life. However, a common thought is that it is something a person can
treasure for life, regardless of monetary worth. The idea is to give a treasure, not just a gift. So,
something meaningful that the debutant can use for the rest of her life. Basically, you’re
supposed to give her a git and say something inspirational. Basically, it is how you express how
important the gift is.

They say, memories are ways to hold on to the things that we love, and to the things that we
don’t want to lose. They say, friendship is a million little things. Tonight, we have 18 selected
people who will share with us who is Kasang. How well do you know Kasang. Are you ready for
the bukingan time?

Mechanics: I have with me a list of trivia or questions about tonight’s fine lady. The mechanics
is just simple. You have to get one question from the bowl. If you can answer the question,
Kasang will drink the wine. And if you can’t answer the question, you will be the one to drink
the wine. Got it? So let’s start the ball rolling!

DEBUTANT’S SPEECH

Tonight’s celebration tells me that the best demonstration of gratitude in response to a

wonderful experience like this one can be contained in an overwhelming thank you. Thank you
so much for making me a part of this memorable occasion. And if there’s one person here
tonight who is more than grateful to see all of you happy, that would be our beloved debutant.
I’m giving the floor to our dear Kasang to give her message for all of us.

CLOSING

The night is still young and so we are, right? Are you ready to party? We have just actually
started. Again, thank you for having me here to celebrate with all of you. Can we have a one
loud HAPPY BIRTHDAY KASANG! At the count of three…1, 2 3 HAPPY BIRTHDAY KASANG! Our
debutant is not just a pretty face but also a very talented young lady. To get this party started,
