CHAPTER 1

INTRODUCTION

The Pesticide is a broad term that refers to any device, method, or chemicals that kill
plants or animals that compete for humanity`s food supply or are otherwise undersirable. A
pesticide chemical can rarely be used as originally manufactured. the pesticide must be
diluted with water, oil, air or chemically inactive solids so that it can be handled by
application equipment and spreas evenly over the area to be treated. it includes cockroach
killer.

Malunggay called "Malunggay" in the Philippines , "Sajina" in the India subcontinent, and
"Moringa" in English, it is a popular tree. it grows wildly in a tropical climate. Both the
leaves and fruits are very nutritious, which contain many vitamins like vitamin C and other
minerals.

Chili, the name, which is spelled differently in many regions Chili, Chile and Chili. The
term chili in most of the world refers exclusively to the smaller hot types of capsicum. it is a
pepper. even though chili`s maybe though as vegetable, their culinary usage is, a generally
spice, the part of the plant that is usually harvested is the fruit.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

1.What Are the Effects of hypertension in the workplace ?

2. How to manage the Hypertension in Housekeeping field?

3. What are the different attitudes of people that affects the housekeepers in the workplace?
PURPOSE OF THE STUDY

The purpose of this study is to let the people know how hotel housekeeping work
influences on hypertension management. be more nice to each and everyone so that we can
achieve a better work flow, and to be a efficient worker
 Be more Patience
 Be more Responsible
 Be more Hospitable

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

The results of this study will benefit the following:

Community: In the result of this study, could this condition increases your risk of heart
attack, heart failure and sudden cardiac death. Improved recognition of the importance of
systolic blood pressure Subthemes at the individual level included co-worker dynamics and
maintenance of transmigrate life.

People in community: they will be aware of this matter uncontrolled high blood
pressure increases your risk of serious health problems, including heart attack and
stroke. High blood pressure generally develops over many years, and it affects nearly
everyone eventually. And also they could, worst effect specially, in work on housekeeping.

Researcher: As a human being we must rest also don`t work too much.
RESEARCH QUESTION

1. What is good housekeeping?

2. Does hypertension cause problem in their life?

3. Why are more people choosing to work in hotel housekeeping?

REVIEW ON RELATED LITERATURE

Hypertension or high blood pressure is a worldwide problem that effects approximately 15-
20% of all adults (Wang et al., 2008). Hypertension known as silent killer as it showed no
symptom. Even though it is simple to diagnose and usually can be controlled by healthy diet,
regular exercise, medication prescribed by doctors or a combination of these, untreated
hypertension will cause serious condition (Campbell et al., 2002). Hypertension is associated
with cardiovascular disease, insulin resistance, obesity, carbohydrate tolerance,
hyperuricacidemia, and atherosclerosis (Yeh et al., 2009).Secondary hypertension can be
caused by medical conditions such as renal parenchymal disease, renal artery stenosis,
hyperaldosteronism, or pheochromocytoma (Grossman et al., 2012).Temporary high blood
pressure also can cause by medications such as corticosteroids, nonsteroidal anti-
inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), cold medicines and birth control pills. Corticosteroids such as
prednisone and prednisolone will lead to Cushing syndrome in long-term use. Usage of
nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs,(NSAIDs) increase blood pressure as well as will
interfere in anti-hypertensive treatment, and abolish its effect (Grossman et al., 2012).

NSAIDs interfere in some of the antihypertensive agents such as beta-blockers, diuretics

agents as well as angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEI), except for calcium
antagonist and central-acting drugs (Grossman et al., 2012). NSAIDS such as indomethacin,
naproxen and piroxicam were the greatest that involves in the increasing of blood pressure,
while rofecoxib raise systolic blood pressure more than celecoxib (Grossman et al., 2012).
Cold medicines such as pseudoephedrine hydrochloride that used for upper respiratory
decongestant may elevate blood pressure in hypertensive patients (Grossman et al., 2012).
Intake of birth control pills contributes in the increasing of blood pressure particularly in
women above 35 years old that overweight and smokers.Treatment for primary and
secondary hypertension were specifically different thus, it is important in terms of its
diagnostic, therapeutic and prognostic to be determined before patient with such conditions
were treated (Seaman et al., 2005).

The AHA issued guidelines in November 2017 that define hypertension as blood pressure
that is consistently higher than 130 over 80 millimeters of mercury (mmHg). Each time the
heart beats, it pumps blood into the vessels. BP is created by the force of blood pushing
against the walls of blood vessels (arteries) as it is pumped by the heart (WHO, 2013). An
increase in cardiac output without a decrease in peripheral resistance will cause both arterial
volume and arterial pressure to increase (Huether & McCance, 2012). Aldosterone causes
fluid and sodium retention, and these results in a further increase in BP (Beevers et al., 2007).
Many patients with hypertension have low levels of circulating endocrine renin and
angiotensin II, and, in these patients, the drugs that block the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone
system tend to be less effective (Beevers et al., 2007) The benefits of health behaviors for
clinical outcome of chronic disease have been widely found in the literature (Alaska Section
of Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, 2013; Garrett & Bluml, 2005)

Scope and Limitations

This study is focused in the impact of hypertension on the incidence of cardiovascular.

Hotel housekeepers have challenging working conditions, putting them at risk for poor health
such as hypertension. Despite their risks, few studies have measured their blood pressure
(BP). The purpose of this study was to explore hotel housekeepers’ blood pressure and the
associations between work
