I. OBJECTIVES
Towards the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:
a. Interpret the implication of a certain numerical data;
b. Compare and contrast qualitative method and quantitative method.
c. Solve for significant relationship between two variables using a statistical tool;
d. Demonstrate viewpoints on the concept of globalization through an essay;

II. SUBJECT MATTER


Topic: What Does it Mean to be a Global Citizen
Language Skills: Reading, Listening, Writing, Speaking
Materials: PPT, texts, ICT, paper
Duration: 1 hour Session
Integrated Subject: Statistics
Numeracy Skill: Pearson r
Classroom Management Strategy: Procedures (PTDRO)
Reference: English 10 Module, Internet retrieved sources

III. TEACHING/LEARNING PROCEDURES


A. Preliminary Activities
1. Prayer, Checking of Attendance & Greetings
-The teacher sets the mood for learning by freeing the classroom from clutter. She will
ask a student to lead the prayer.

2. Motivation (Family Feud)

- The teacher One representative from each group is selected. The first one who can
answer takes the points (5pts).

B. Activity Proper
- The teacher asks the students to guess the topic by making meaningful relationships
on the activities done. She presents another short activity so that the students
unlock the topic. She solidifies the lesson introduction by giving definitions of the
topic.
- The teacher presents a video about Globalization. Students are tasked to take down
notes important details, concepts, and key ideas about the said video.

C. Analysis
The teacher applies the classroom procedure, PTDRO. The students will be asked of the
following questions:
Comprehension Questions
1. What is globalization?
2. What are its advantages?
3. What are its disadvantages?
D. Abstraction
The learners will be asked to read a short essay entitled, “ What does It Mean to be a
Global Citizen”

E. Application

Create a concept map about being a “Global Citizen” according to the ideas taken from the
literary text. The reporters will present their group’s output in the class.

IV. EVALUATION
The students will be tasked to present tableau portraying the advantage of globalization.
After each presenting, the group’s reporter will explain the idea that drives their
presentation. Each group will respectively be required to emphasize the following. (See
rubric for group presentation)
1. Gender Equality
Situation: Women are able to lead in their work places and/or organizations without
discrimination.
2. Economy and Business
Situation: Linkages and Partnership are further enabled due openness of people to
different industries from other countries.
3. Tradition and Culture
Situation: Races and Tribes are able to share their cultural heritage, values, and
traditions to foreign with acceptance and respect.
4. Technological Advancement
Situation: Technology makes communication and work faster and more efficient
5. Education
Situation: Students learn without so much supervision from their teachers. They can
access information anywhere, anytime.

V. ASSIGNMENT
Write a 200-word essay about how you foresee the impact of globalization 10 years
from now. (see rubric)
