Photosynthesis Flowchart

Photosynthesis is the process by which plants, algae and some bacteria use sunlight, carbon dioxide and water to produce oxygen and energy in the form of sugars. It occurs in two stages: in the first stage, light energy is captured by chlorophyll to power the second stage where carbon dioxide and water are converted using the absorbed energy to produce oxygen and sugars through chemical reactions in the chloroplast. One of the products of photosynthesis is glucose with the chemical formula C6H12O6, while oxygen exits the leaf through stomata.
