Capital University of Sciences and Technology, Islamabad: Department of Electrical Engineering

This 3 credit hour course provides an in-depth understanding of linear systems theory using a state-space approach. The course objectives are to teach students how to derive state space models of dynamic systems, analyze linear time-invariant systems, and synthesize linear controllers. Over 16 lectures, topics will include state-space representations, dynamics of linear systems, controllability and observability, shaping dynamic response through state feedback control, and linear observers. Student performance will be evaluated through assignments, class participation, quizzes, a lab, midterm exam, and final exam.
