each piece of equipment.
2. BENEFITS
Big Wire Capabilities: Aluminum, Zinc and Zinc/Aluminum wires, 1/8”(3.2 mm) and 3/16” (4.8
mm) in diameter are routinely sprayed
Small Wire Capabilities: Small wire [1/16” (1.6 mm) , 3/32” (2.3 mm)] can also be sprayed
Combination Leads: Combination leads combine the spray wire, power lead, and atomizing air
into a single, flexible, lightweight lead
Arc-Shorting Control: Arc-shorting control eliminates wire shorting inherent to the arc-spray
process
Fan Spray: Provides a wide spray pattern for high production work
Air Sweep: Allows the operator to air sweep surface prior to spraying
Power Supply Choices: Lightweight Inverters or Conventional DC welding power supplies
Flexible: Modular design accommodates easy adaptation to the needs of the job shop
3. FRONT-END ASSEMBLY
The front-end assembly includes the leads that deliver metalizing wire, compressed air and
arc voltage to the spray head
Air sweep switch included on handle assembly
Simple to operate
Fan spray air jets are included to provide a wide spray pattern for large surface areas.
Lightweight to reduce operator fatigue
1/8” and 3/16” spray heads used for anti-corrosion coatings on large surface areas
Easy to maintain
Description Characteristics
Maximum Current Up to 650 Amps*
* Capabilities dependent on power supply option, weld cable, and front-end lead lengths.
19-Pin environmentally sealed connectors in conjunction with heavy duty cable allow for
dependable use, even in rugged field operations
Welding cable size is 4/0 with easy-to-use twist lock connectors
Control cables include cable restraints to maximize cable longevity
The Bridgemaster Feeder has been updated with many new features including a newly
designed precision wire drive, a spool shield, shield cover and a new feeder cabinet
design that will make it easier to upgrade in the future
The new precision drives are designed with bolt on components to ease future
maintenance steps. Drive pins are also easier to replace as they are secured with a
screw. All parts are CNC machined.
The new TMS Bridgemaster proprietary drive has a tension knob that allows the
operator to preset the tension and lock it in place, so after a spool change you can
easily return to the original tension. The new drive assemblies are also designed to
accommodate optional bolt on wire straighteners.
The new design cabinet is slightly bigger and the base plate has been extended to
create a lesser angle as the wire feeds off of the spool. This reduces friction as the wire
enters the feeder.
Quality TMS spool spindles are included. These feature quick release spool stops that
are self contained – no parts to drop or misplace.
The cabinet doors lift up and are removable for ease of feeder maintenance and the
wiring harness has been moved overhead for increased reliability.
