There are several Varmaanis and Varma Assans in Tamil Nadu and Kerala practicing Varma
successfully and possessing knowledge, which they gained hereditary or by their practical
experience with or without formal education. Such varma medical knowledge is gradually
disappearing as that is kept as a family secret limited to their family members and not disclosed
to others. Sometimes, for want of suitable disciple.
The CVMR has take an effort to preserve such clinical practice and formulations and transfer to
young Therapists. So that the CVMR has started the following courses. CVMR offers five stages
practical training programmes in Varma Therapy.

Eligibility : Any Registered Medical Practitioners (BSMS, BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, BNYS, MBBS),
Physiotherapist (BPT), Yoga Therapist, Acupuncturist, Medical Students, Para-Medical People and
those who are interested in Varma Therapy.
Note :
•All classes will held on Saturday & Sunday and other holidays on based of students
convenience.
Syllabus : Location, Stimulation and therapeutic importance of 108 varma points based on
Thread-measurement techniques. Varma Stimulatory Massage and therapeutics for 100
common ailments.
Part 2
Syllabus : Varma massage techniques for Neck pain, Neck rigidity, Cervical spondylitis, Cervical
spondylosis, Wry neck.. etc.
Programme Material:
Practical Handbook for Beginners in Varma Therapy.
Part 1
Subject : Varma Points and Relieving Methods on the basis of Finger-Measurement Techniques in
Varma Therapy.
Syllabus : Location, Relieving Methods and therapeutic importance of 108 varma points based on
Finger-measurement techniques. Varma Relieving Massage and therapeutics purpose.
Part 2
Syllabus : Location, Types, Pressure methods, Therapeutic uses and Clinical Application of 168
Adankal-Therapeutic Varma Points.

Part 1
Subject : Varma Points and Plaiting Methods on the basis of Life-energy Circulatory Channels in
Varma Therapy.
Syllabus : 12 Life energy channels and its pathway, Life energy flowing internal organ clock and
channel based 108 varma points and its therapeutics.
Part 2
Subject : Varma points and Activation Methods on the basis of Basic-whirling wheels in Varma
Therapy.
Syllabus : Adhara(chackra) based 108 varma points and its therapeutic importants. Varma Vaasi
yoga dhayanam.
Programme Material:
Part 1
Subject : Varma Points and Manipulation Methods on the basis of Graphical Measurement
Techniques in Varma Therapy.
Syllabus : Location, Manipulation and Therapeutic importants of 400 and above varma points.
Part 2
Subject : Varma Points and Massage Methods on the basis of Regional Therapeutic Techniques in
Varma Therapy.
Part 3
Subject : Varma Points and Clinical Methods on the basis of Basic Principle Techniques in Varma
Therapy.
Syllabus : Varma Clinical methods, Line of treatment and varma point-selection techniques.
Programme Material:
Practical Handbook for Advanced Practitioners of Varma Therapy(I , II and II).
Note : After completion of “Varma Aasan”, membership for "Indian Traditional Varma
Practitioners Association" will be provided.
