A Mini Project Report On: Industrial and Home Security System Using IOT

This document is a mini project report submitted in partial fulfillment of the requirements for a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering. The project aims to develop an industrial and home security system using the Internet of Things (IoT). The system will notify owners through an app if unauthorized entry is detected by sensors. It consists of a Node MCU board with Wi-Fi, a PIR sensor to detect humans, a buzzer, LEDs, and the Blynk app. When motion is detected, a notification will be sent wirelessly to the app and the buzzer will sound. The green LED normally indicates all is well, while the red LED activates in emergencies. Owners can remotely activate

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this project is to provide security for our homes and industries .IOT
refers to the infrastructure of connected physical devices which is growing at a rapid rate
as a huge numbers of devices and objects are getting associated to the internet. Home and
industrial security is very useful application of IOT and we are using it to create an
inexpensive security system for homes as well as industrial use. The system will inform
the owner about any unauthorized entry by sending a notification to the user. After the
user gets the notification, he can take necessary actions.

This system consists of a NODE MCU board which has an in-built WIFI module,
PIR sensor, Buzzer, Power supply, LED’s(red and green) and BLYNK app. We use PIR
sensor to detect the human beings once a human is detected it will give notification to the
BLYNK app wirelessly through INTERNET and the buzzer is activated. In the ideal
condition the green LED will be always ON and in emergency condition the red LED is
ON. Once after receiving the notification we can activate the emergency lock from the
app itself. The main advantages of such a system include the ease of setting up, lower
costs and low maintenance.
