Description
The Contact element / Isolating terminal of Type 8082/*-*-** is a flameproof encapsulated switching element. It is used to connect and
disconnect load, control and signal circuits. The isolating terminal is equipped with a lockable actuator. Termination could be made
either by screw terminals or by screwless terminals (cage clamp terminals).

Description
The Contact element / Isolating terminal of type 8082/*-*-** is a flameproof encapsulated
switching element. It is used to connect and disconnect load, control and signal circuits. The
Isolating terminal is equipped with a lockable actuator. Termination could be made either by
screw terminals or by screwless terminals – cage clamp terminals.

Schedule of Limitations
The Contact element / Isolating terminal shall be fitted in an enclosure that meets the re-
quirements of an approved type of protection in accordance with IEC 60079-0, section1.
When mounting the Contact element / Isolating terminal in an enclosure designed to type of
protection Increased Safety “e” as specified in IEC 60079-7, the clearance and creepage
distances shall be duly considered.
Installation of components requires assessment by an ExCB.
