A Vagabond Song

By : Bliss Carman

There is something in the autumn that is native to my blood

Touch of manner, hint of mood;

And my heart is like a rhyme,

With the yellow and the purple and the crimson keeping time.

The scarlet of the maples can shake me like a cry

Of bugles going by.

And my lonely spirit thrills

To see the frosty asters like a smoke upon the hills.

There is something in October sets the gypsy blood astir;

We must rise and follow her,

When from every hill of flame

She calls and calls each vagabond by name.

Orientation

William Bliss Carman was a Canadian poet born in 1861. He spent most of
his life in the United States, where he gained international fame. He was recognized
as a Canadian poet winner during the following years. He died on June 8, 1929 at
the age of 68 years.

The poem "A vagabond Song" is one of his famous works. This poem even
appears in school textbooks. "A Vagabond Song," tells of a poet who witnessed a
change from summer to autumn. He felt autumn was the most enchanting season,
and made his blood light up thinking about the changing leaves.

Evaluation

"A Vagabond Song," uses many phrases. Example "gypsy blood". In the
language "gypsy blood" means the blood of a person of Roman descent. But in this
poem, "gypsy blood" is a wandering spirit. In "A Vagabond Song," the word
"native". The sentence reads, "There is something that is autumn that is native to
my blood". In this poem the speaker is not meant to be born with autumn in his
blood. This is a symbol that the speaker feels like he was born to be part of the fall,
that he feels alive in the fall, and autumn is an inherent part of him.
Interpretative Recount

In "A Vagabond Song," the story is strange but full of passion. The red color
which is the color of passion is mentioned throughout the poem. Blood, The Scarlet,
The Maples, and the hill of flame all appear in poetry, presenting poetry with
nuances of passion and passion. "A Vagabond Song" has three stanzas, each
consisting of four lines. All poems discuss themes inspired by nature (autumn).

In "A Vagabond Song," the writer symbolizes the fall as a woman. "She
calls and calls each vagabond by name". By referring to the fall as a woman, the
writer parallels the idea of a woman teasing her, with autumn calling her into the
wilderness to rejoice in her beauty. In "A Vagabond Song," the line "And my lonely
spirit thrills / To see the frosty asters like a smoke upon the hills" is an example of
a line that rhymes in the end.

Evaluative Summation

Although it must make the reader read it repeatedly. But that's what makes
this poem interesting. This poem made me very curious and interested in
researching further.
REVIEW SONG

How Far I’ll Go

(Moana Soundtrack)

I've been staring at the edge of the water

'Long as I can remember, never really knowing why

I wish I could be the perfect daughter

But I come back to the water, no matter how hard I try

Every turn I take, every trail I track

Every path I make, every road leads back

To the place I know, where I can not go, where I long to be

See the line where the sky meets the sea? It calls me

And no one knows, how far it goes

If the wind in my sail on the sea stays behind me

One day I'll know, if I go there's just no telling how far I'll go

I know everybody on this island, seems so happy on this island

Everything is by design

I know everybody on this island has a role on this island

So maybe I can roll with mine

I can lead with pride, I can make us strong

I'll be satisfied if I play along

But the voice inside sings a different song

What is wrong with me?

See the light as it shines on the sea? It's blinding

But no one knows, how deep it goes

And it seems like it's calling out to me, so come find me

And let me know, what's beyond that line, will I cross that line?

The line where the sky meets the sea? It calls me

And no one knows, how far it goes

If the wind in my sail on the sea stays behind me

One day I'll know, how far I'll go

Orientation

This song was created by Lin-Manuel Miranda and popularized by Auli'i

Cravalho. Lin-Manuel Miranda (born January 16, 1980) is an actor, composer,
rapper and writer Puerto Rico. He is known as the author and musical actor of
Broadway In the Heights and Hamilton. Auli'i Cravalho is a new American artist
known as a voice in the film Moana.

The song appeared when Moana was debating with herself. On the one
hand, she is required to carry out a role. But on the other hand, she wants to find
her role and identity.

Evaluation

This song tells about someone's anxiety to choose between being someone
who is formed by a system that already exists or becomes someone formed by his
conscience. There was a heated conflict in her about these two things. In the lyrics
of "I can lead with pride, I can make it strong, I'll be satisfied if I play along, but
the voice inside," "sing a different songs, What is wrong with me?", means that she
doesn't want to disappoint people who already believed in getting an identity based
on a system that was formed together, but he also did not want to disappoint and
deceive herself of his identity. She is like being in the dividing line between
"system" and "conscience".

Interpretative Recount

At first glance this song leads to Moana's love of the sea. But if we can
understand this song actually contains a woman who wants to find her identity, a
woman who must choose between tradition and identity. This was revealed in the
lyrics, "I wish I could be the perfect daughter, but I came back to the water, no
matter how hard I tried". In the lyrics explained that Moana really wanted to be
someone who could be relied upon both as a child and as a substitute for a tribal
chief. But his heart always said the other, his heart always took him to something
that made a big difference between Moana and the people he loved. The song
reveals how difficult it is to be a person who is opposed but everything can be
overcome with positive thinking patterns and Moana's persistence that often
appears in this song.

Evaluative Summation

This song can be a motivation so that we can be the best in our own way.
This is often experienced by people especially someone who has privileges but is
opposed by people they care about. This song is very good and interesting in any
way. I strongly recommend this song to be heard.

Synopsis

Alice Kingsleigh has spent the past three years following in her father's
footsteps and sailing the high seas. Upon her return to London from China, she
learns her ex-fiancé, Hamish Ascot, has taken over his father's company and plans
to have Alice sign over her father's ship in exchange for her family home. Alice
follows a butterfly she recognizes as Absolem and returns to Wonderland through
a mirror.

Alice is greeted by the White Queen, the White Rabbit, the Tweedles, the
Dormouse, the March Hare, Bayard and the Cheshire Cat. They inform her that the
Mad Hatter, Tarrant Hightopp, is acting madder than usual because his family is
missing. Alice tries to console him, but the Mad Hatter remains sure of his family's
survival of the Attack of the Jabberwocky day.

Believing that finding the Hatter's family is the only way to stop his
deteriorating health, the White Queen sends Alice to consult Time himself and
convince him to save the Hatter's family in the past. The Queen cautions Alice that
history will be destroyed if anyone sees their past or future self. Upon visiting
Time's palace, Alice finds the Chronosphere, an object that powers all time in
Wonderland.

After being told by Time that altering the past is impossible, Alice steals the
Chronosphere and travels back in time, shortly after finding the exiled Red Queen,
Iracebeth of Crims, is in the care of Time. The Red Queen urges Time to go after
Alice. Alice accidentally flies to the day of Iracebeth's coronation, where a younger
Tarrant begins a mockery of the Red Queen when the royal crown does not fit her
abnormal head. This causes Iracebeth to melt down. Her father deems her
inappropriate to rule and passes the title of queen to her younger sister Mirana, the
White Queen.

Alice learns of an event in Iracebeth and Mirana's past that caused friction
between the two, and she travels back in time again, hoping it will change
Iracebeth's ways and cease the Jabberwocky from killing the Hatter's family. The
young Mirana steals a tart from her mother and eats it. When confronted by their
mother, Mirana lies about eating the tart, and Iracebeth is accused, causing her to
run out of the castle in sadness. Alice sees her about to run into a clock, the event
that deforms her head and personality. She is able to get the clock out of the way,
but fails to change the past as Iracebeth trips and slams her head anyway.

Alice is then confronted by a weakened Time, who scolds her for putting all
of time in danger. She runs into a nearby mirror back into the real world, where she
wakes up in a mental hospital, diagnosed with female hysteria. By the help of her
mother, she returns to Wonderland, where she travels to the Attack of the
Jabberwocky and discovers that the Hatter's family never died, but were captured
by Iracebeth. Returning to the present, Alice discovers the Hatter at the brink of
death.

After Alice tearfully says that she believes him, Tarrant awakens and
reforms back to his normal self. The Wonderlanders go to the Red Queen's castle,
where Tarrant finds his family shrunk and trapped in an ant farm. Iracebeth
apprehends them and steals the Chronosphere from Alice, taking Mirana back to
the day she lied about the tart. By the time Tarrant and Alice get there, Iracebeth
and her past self see each other. Time becomes irrelevant, and Underland begins to
freeze. Using the Chronosphere, Alice and the Hatter race back to the present, where
Alice is able to place the Chronosphere back in its original place.

With the Chronosphere stabilized, Wonderland reverts to normal. The

Hatter reunites with his family. Mirana apologizes to Iracebeth for lying, and both
of them make amends. Alice bids her friends farewell and returns to the real world
where her mother refuses to return Alice's ship over to Hamish, and the two set to
travel the world together with their own company.
GENERIC STRUCTURE

Orientation

The film tells the story of another world, with a variety of uniqueness and
rarity, a variety of excitement and things that are curious, passionate story and have
learned valuable lessons, that Alice throught The Looking Glass. This film is a
sequel to Alice in Wonderland. In Alice in Wonderland, we will think this is the
story of Alice but after watching Alice throught The Looking Glass will we know
that in fact this film tells about the origin of the schism between the queen of red
and white queen, damage in Underland, but told through alice.

Evaluation

This film uses the theme of the kingdom both in the world above and in the
underworld. The upper world contains normal human life, while the underworld
contains extraordinary writer's fantasies, because there are animals that can speak,
houses with hat shapes, red palaces of heart shapes made of roots, and human
characters that are quite unique and strange. The film can also convey feelings and
atmosphere well. When Alice says, "Time is a thief and a villain", it makes us
understand what Alice feels and makes us think that way too. When Ms. Alice says,
"You can't make things what you want," we also get carried away with the
atmosphere between Alice and her mother.

The film also has humorous conversations, such as when the White Queen
calls time as a lonely man so Alice is confused and says, "Time is a man?". This
film contains motivations about family and time.
Interpretative Recount

At first we will think that this film will only lead to figures of Hatter who
are sick or unhealthy because of the mysterious disappearance of the Hatter family
all related to the fraternal relationship of the red queen and the cracking white
queen, so we are also curious about the root cause from the two queens quarrel that
occurred long before the war between their two kingdoms in the film Alice in The
Wonderland. Sometimes there are some scenes that don't reach us or the message.

Evaluative Summation

This film is perfect for people who like fiction related to real life. Not only
that, this film also contains motivations and valuable lessons that include time and
family. As Alice said at the time, "I always thought time was a thief, stealing
everything I loved. But I understand now, if you give before taking. And every day
is a gift, every hour, every minute, every second. " Much can be taken as learning
in everyday life, very good for all ages.

Synopsis

After accidentally eavesdropping on the conversation of lovers on the toilet

at his best friend's wedding, Sandra actually met Willian Trixie, his super annoying
ex-client, which even made Sandra resign from his office. So annoyed with Will,
Sandra even cursed the man: no one would want to with Will! However, the meeting
turned out to make him have to meet him again. Will's unchanging attitude still
sucks, making Sandra not think. He was not surprised if the woman in the tragedy
of hearing the toilet in the toilet was Will's lover who cheated.

Trixie's mother asked Trixie to take Sandra before him because Mrs. Trixie
was afraid that Sandra's curse had really happened. Trixie finally looked for Sandra,
even willing to go back and forth between Surabaya and Bandung in just one day
to take Sandra to her mother. Facing Sandra who is very stubborn makes a constant
fight.

After meeting with Mrs. Trixie, Sandra also revoked her curse after Mrs.
Trixie begged Sandra. After the incident, Sandra and Trixie were reunited by fate
and finally they liked each other in silence. Trixie thinks she is inappropriate for
Sandra so she harbors her feelings. That made Sandra make it difficult for her to
express her feelings to Trixie first. And finally they unite.
GENERIC STRUCTURE

Orientation

Hell a Spell is a book written by Ruth Desiana, known as Daisy Ann. Daisy
Ann has written many books and Hell a Spell is one of her works. Most of Daisy
Ann's works are romance-style, as is this book. This book tells the story of Sandra,
a jolly woman, smart, kind, easily offended, easily hurt, and concerned with
William Trixie, a company CEO who is rich, arrogant, rude, not easily impressed,
but on the other hand she is a caring person.

Evaluation

Initially this book seemed to lead to things that were mystical, but it turned
out that the key words of this book were the togetherness of the two main characters
of this book. Togetherness created by Sandra's hatred or vow of hatred for Trixie
and creating an interesting romance. The difference that is inversely proportional to
the characters of the two main characters makes this story more interesting and
curious how they will unite.

Interpretative Recount

The style of language used also varies. Sometimes the writer uses standard
language, non-standard language, regional language, and foreign language
(English). I even thought the book was a translation novel but it turned out to be an
original novel from Indonesia. The characters' names are not often heard and sound
interesting. For Indonesian size, this novel has an adult scene (when Trixie and
Sandra kissed) that made this book less readable for minors.

Evaluative Summation
This book is perfect for people who like romance stories. This book is also
interspersed with humor and some life motivations. Everything is very realistic but
still interesting. The character of the character of the story makes us take part in the
atmosphere.
