Course outline in SPECIAL PENAL LAWS

Course description:
The course is a study of the crimes penalized under selected special laws, their
nature and elements.

Course objective:
At the end of the course, students are expected to have correctly assimilated
the different special penal laws covered by the course, its nature and
application.

Methodology:
The primary method of instruction is by recitation. Students are called upon to
recite to stimulate critical thought and to force them to work though thorny
issues. Lectures are delivered to integrate the student's knowledge of the course
under study.

Examinations:
Mid-term and final examinations will be administered following the schedule
approved by the Office of the Dean. Quizzes may also be given at any time
without previous notice.

Reference materials:
Assigned Supreme Court decisions (see attached list) are mandatory readings.
Students are free to use any textbook or other reference material to supplement
their study.
