3. OUT OF HOME MEDIA.

Non-Digital Out Of Home

Non-Digital out-of-home refers to other types of media distributed across physical spaces.
These are:

Bulletin - Bulletin billboards are usually located in highly visible, heavy traffic areas such as
expressways, primary arteries, and major intersections. With extended periods of high
visibility, billboard advertisements provide advertisers with significant impact on commuters.

Bus Advertising - Firmly establish brand awareness and generate quick recall with high
profile exposure near point of purchase locations.

Commuter Rail Display - Reaches a captive audience of upscale suburban commuters.

Additionally, reaches lunch-time patrons, shoppers and business professionals.

Mobile Billboard - Mobile billboards offer a great degree of flexibility to advertisers. These
advertisements can target specific routes, venue or events, or can be used to achieve market
saturation.

Poster - Target local audiences with these billboards, which are highly visible to vehicular
traffic and are ideal for the introduction of new products/services. Maximize advertising
objectives and brand awareness by placing multiple units in strategic locations while
lowering cost per thousand impressions.

Premier Panel - Premiere panels combine the frequency and reach of a poster campaign with
the creative impact of a bulletin.
Premier Square - Bright top and bottom illumination on a premiere panel provide extra
impact after dark.

Taxi Advertising - Taxi advertising allows advertisers to highlight their products, whether
brand awareness, or a targeted message, directly to areas where people work, shop, and play.

Wallscape - Wallscapes are attached to buildings and are able to accommodate a wide
variety of unusual shapes and sizes. These billboard advertisements are visible from a
distance and provide tremendous impact in major metro areas.

Transit and bus-transit media

Transit media is a form of out-of-home advertising that uses vehicular platforms to establish
a mobile brand presence.

Typically, transit media campaigns are employed in denser urban environments to maximize
brand exposure to both pedestrian and on-road traffic. The medium has traditionally been
limited to featured advertisements on buses and trams, but in recent years has extended to
various sub-categories, such as dedicated car, van or truck advertising.
Recently advertising on the exterior of buses has pushed conventional boundaries of static
media with the introduction of LED Displays. This allows the site owner to generate higher
revenue as they can rotate ads and also schedule ads by GPS Location allowing advertisers
to target their audience more effectively

Advantages of Out of Home Media

Accessibility
One thing that OOH media has to its credit big time would be the accessibility issue. A large
portion of the advertising that the average consumer is subjected to these days is advertising
that comes at them when they are in their home. Internet advertising, television advertising,
newspaper advertising and magazine advertising are all examples of this.

Association
Another advantage of OOH media is the fact that it is associated with something that
consumers are doing when they are out of their home.

Status
Companies that do OOH advertising are generally companies that are associated with a lot
of status. Think about the companies that advertise at bus stops or on large billboards.
These are companies that are usually very large and knowable, partially because of the fact
that they have done OOH advertising on a large scale. Status is something that can on its
own create sales momentum for your company and it does sometimes come with OOH
advertising.

Branding
OOH advertising gives you a unique chance for branding in a way that no other form of
advertising can.

Impression Efficiency
Compare billboard advertising to advertising on the television or the radio. Sure the billboard
advertisement is more expensive. Sure the radio will give you a better going rate and so will
the television. But when you are advertising OOH, the whole city can potentially see your
advertisement. This is unlikely to happen when you are dealing with other forms of in house
advertising. That is certainly something worth keeping in mind beyond the issue of absolute
cost for both of these advertising types.
