BRIEF OF THE EVENTS

CRIC BID

Participating teams will be provided with a fixed amount of virtual money. They need to spend it on
bidding for cricket players selecting the balanced team for T20 format. This event will analyse the
fund management skills among the teams

Team Size: 2 MAX

RULES -

 Each team will consist of 2 members


 Participants will be provided with a fixed amount of virtual money
 List of players available for auction will be shown on the spot
 Teams will have to bid for the players
 Exceeding the virtual money limit will lead to disqualification of teams
 Entries beyond the last date of registration may be permitted by the organizers depending
upon the schedule constraints
 In case of any dispute, the decision of Judges will be considered final and binding.

CEO TALKS

Participants need to act like a CEO and be prepared with all the aspects of his/her business.

RULES

 PPT is mandatory while presenting


 Team should choose a company and must have knowledge about the same with facts and
figures
 Team should consist of CEO and 2 more top executives.
 Teams will be presenting their respective companies at the time of interaction
 There will be cross-questioning on the basis of details they will present
 Any of the participant can respond to the queries
 5 minutes will be given to each team initially for giving details about their respective
companies
 Exceeding time limit may lead to negative marking.
 Entries beyond the last date of registration may be permitted by the organizers depending
upon the schedule constraints.
 Prelims may be conducted depending upon the number of entries.
 In case of any dispute, the decision of Judges will be considered final and binding

AD SELFIE

Participants need to post a selfie with the product which is allotted to them and have to
come up with a new tagline for the product.

Team Size: 1

RULES

 Participant will be allotted a product randomly


 Team should consist of only 1 member
 1 minute will be given to each participant to justify his/her new tagline
 Performance will be judged on the basis of the creativity used and how much buzz
the product has created.
 Exceeding time limit may lead to negative marking
 Prelims may be conducted depending upon the number of entries
 In case of any dispute, the decision of Judges will be considered final and binding

CARPE DIEM

Participants will get grilled with questions and different selection rounds procedure that they would
normally undergo in a recruitment process.

Team Size: 1

RULES

 The participants will have to undergo a mock recruitment process


 An initial round of aptitude test may contain logical reasoning, aptitude/math, and verbal
questions, etc.
 The second round comprises a group of students trying to voice out their opinion to a
problem statement given to them. The topics for discussion can be as abstract as ‘Pink’ while
students try to portray their creativity in their content.
 The final HR interview is similar to any final interview process that ultimately tests the soft
skills of the applicant and general knowledge.
 In case of any dispute, the decision of Judges will be considered final and binding

CHANNEL SURFING

Participants have to imagine themselves to be the acting in all the TV channels and assume that
someone is switching between the channels. They will have to either imitate various channels or
come up with something humorous to represent a particular channel. For example, judge can switch
between HBO, Discovery Channel and MTV within a minute and the student(s) have to imitate any
remarkable shows of those channels.

Team Size: Minimum – 1, Maximum – 3

RULES

Team should consist of maximum 3 members

The teams will have to either imitate various channels or come up with something humorous to
represent a particular channel.

Students are judged on spontaneity, content, humor, audience response and coordination (if in a
group).

The judge will keep shifting between channels after every few minutes or seconds.

The judge may also rewind or fast forward a particular channel thereby forcing the participants to
adapt to such changes instantaneously and hilariously.

In case of any dispute, the decision of Judges will be considered final and binding.

BRAND FIGHT
Participants will be asked to select a product from a renowned brand. They will then be asked to
contest against their opponent who would have selected a similar product from some other brand.

TEAM SIZE : 2 MAXIMUM

RULES

Team should consist of maximum 2 members

The teams will have to defend the product that they have selected and attack the opponent’s
product based on the given categories during the combat.

In case of any dispute, the decision of Judges will be considered final and binding.

Criteria 4 – Level of knowledge

THE B- QUIZ : BUSINESS QUIZ

In the Business Quiz, Questions can be asked from the following areas and related (extended) fields:

 World & Indian Economy


 International market & relationships
 Methodology & techniques
 Principles & theories
 Business Tycoons
 Brands, Brand Value, Slogans, Taglines & Endorsement

RULES

There will be two rounds in this competition:

Written Prelims (eliminator)

Mains (Finale)
 This is a group event and there must be a minimum of two and a maximum of three members in each team in
each of the rounds
 Top 4 or 6 teams from the prelims shall qualify to the main round depending upon the scores in the prelims. In
case of tie in the prelims, the qualifying team shall be decided on the basis of maximum correctly answered
*marked questions in the prelims.
 There shall be 15-25 questions in the prelims each carrying 1 mark. There shall be some specific 3-8 *marked
questions. There shall be no negative marking for unanswered questions or incorrect answers. Decision in case of
incomplete or partially correct answers or spelling mistakes in answers shall lie at the discretion of the quiz
master.
 In case the qualifying team is not present at the time of announcement of prelims results, privilege shall be given
to the next team depending on the score and availability. It is therefore mandatory for the all teams to be
present at the specified time and venue for the announcements of prelims results.
 The details of various rounds and their marking scheme of the mains, shall be announced before the start of the
mains.
 The quiz master shall be the only person responsible and decider of the question that can be placed under this
quiz. No one else can claim against the domain of the question asked under this category.
 The decision of the quiz master shall be final and bounding under all circumstances in all rounds.
 Carrying reading/writing materials, cell phones, tablets, etc. at the venue of the prelims or mains while attending
it shall lead to disqualification of the team.
 Any attempt of the questions answered by your friends/ your college mates or any other resource person during
the mains by shouting the answers out, may lead to losing points/losing that particular question or even to
disqualification of the team.
