subsidized assistance. The Y helps by providing financial assistance to those
families.
In our community w e teach over 800 children to sw im each year. Any child w ho
can't afford to have lessons is offered a scholarship for financial assistance. Our
skilled aquatic staff also take our YMCA Safety Around W ater program into the
schools to educate children and prevent drow ning.
W e bring community together through our Charity Fun Run events that help
families w ho are struggling w ith devastating illness or disaster.
YMCA Active Aging programs engage our older adults in educational, social, and
healthy exercise program. Our senior citizens have increased quality of life by
participating in our Y programs.
The YMCA is a place to belong, volunteer, nurture friendships, learn, play, and

Your kids will love our introductory sports program that introduces them to
the fundamentals of sports of all sorts! Parents love that the YMCA's four core
values - respect, responsibility, honesty, and caring - are infused into every
class so that kids focus on the value of sportsmanship and healthy
competition, rather than rivalry, right from the start! These programs
encourage team building, individual development, positive self-image, and a
sense of fair play and mutual respect for others. Parents and their toddler can
participate and try out a variety of sports, such as soccer, t-ball, basketball,
and more!
