GUIDELINES ON CREDIT CARDS

INTRODUCTORY:
Credit card is one of the means to make payment at any point of sale and is being used
by majority of the people. The main concept of a credit card is Buy Now & Pay Later.
Andhra Bank Credit Cards are accepted globally. The Credit Cards issued are EMV Chip
and PIN enabled and equipped with highly secured integrated chip technology which was
thoughtfully designed to provide enhanced security. This Chip Card processes data with
unparalleled security in a highly secured environment to protect the card holder against
counterfeiting and skimming so that you can use it freely without any concerns.

TYPES OF CARDS ISSUED BY OUR BANK:


1. Classic, Gold, Platinum & Signature cards in affiliation with VISA International
2. Classic & Titanium in affiliation with Master Card International
3. Rupay Platinum & Rupay Select in affiliation with NPCI

BASIS FOR SANCTION OF CREDIT CARDS:


1. Income Criteria (i.e. IT Returns/Form 16/ Salary Certificates)
2. Against line on Deposits
3. Our borrowers, who are enjoying a limit of Rs.10.00 lacs and above with
performing status
4. AB Emeral Plus Account holders
5. CASA account holders who are maintaining a minimum balance of Rs.25,000/-
and above for the last 12 months (Cir No 253/05/04 dated 12.10.2017)

SALIENT FEATURES OF CREDIT CARDS OFFERED BY OUR BANK:


 Sanctioning of Credit Cards and Card Limit is at the discretion of the Bank
 2 Add-on cards to Spouse / Parents / Major Children are available
 Cash advance facility at 50 % on the Card Limit subject to ATM daily cash
withdrawal Limit of maximum Two transactions or Rs 20,000/- per day
 W.E.F 01-08-2016 Cash Withdrawl charges at 3% of the withdrawn amount
(Minimum Rs. 150/-). If cash is withdrawn at other Bank ATMs an additional
amount of Rs.50/- per transaction will be levied. Interest for Cash Advance @
3.0% is chargeable from the date of amount withdrawn to billing date. Failure to
pay the dues on due date, regular service charges are applicable as per the card
variant.
 Minimum Payment Due (MPD) is 5% of the bill amount
 No Annual subscription in the first year
 No charges for the free credit period on all fresh purchases
 Free Credit Period of 21 to 50 days even under rollover Option
 Free Lost Card Insurance Cover – Maximum amount of coverage is Rs.1.50 lacs
 SMS alerts are sent to the Registered Mobile on all purchases, billing amount,
credits received, cards blocked, Renewal Cards sent etc.,
 Soft copy of Monthly Bill is sent to the registered E-mail ID
 Balance enquiry in Andhra Bank ATM – Free:: In other Bank ATM – Rs.20/-

CREDIT CARDS AGAINST TERM DEPOSITS


(Cir no: 350/5/6 dated 26.12.2017)

1. No income proof or Rating Sheet shall be insisted upon.


2. Card shall be sanction with a minimum limit of Rs.10,000/- against a minimum
Deposit of Rs.15,000/-

3. There shall be always a minimum margin of 25%
4. Lien should be marked against the term deposit.
5. No loan should be sanction against the Term Deposit and the deposit should not
be accepted either as Primary Security or Collateral Security
6. On maturity of the deposit the card should invariably surrendered or converted to
a normal card fulfilling all the required formalities on maturity or cancellation of
the deposit.
7. In case of non-payment of credit card dues, the deposit is to be cancelled and all
the dues are to be adjusted, immediately on receipt of information from CCD.

EMI FACILTY FOR OUR CREDIT CARD HOLDERS:


The service charges for roll over facility are high in Credit card (working out to
approximately 30%) and hence many customers are refraining from using credit cards.
Hence the concept of EMI scheme is introduced for all credit card transactions. The
salient features of the same are as follows:

MODUS OPERANDI OF EMI:

 Whenever a transaction of Rs.5,000/- and above is done by using our credit card,
an SMS will be sent to the Card Holder to exercise the option of EMI
 On receiving the option of EMI from the card holder, the call centre will key in the
number of EMIs, which will show the details like interest amount, service tax
amount & EMI amount etc.
 After confirmation and submission a reference number will be generated and
credit entry will be passed in unbilled status.
 The overall sanctioned Card limit will stand reduced to the extent of transaction
covered under EMI option
 The reduced limit will be restored proportionately, upon repayment of either EMI
instalments and/or the other transactions billed for that month.
 During the billing process, Minimum Payment Due (MPD) amount will be
calculated including the EMI amount as MPD
 Pre closure of EMI converted transactions will be processed when such request
comes.

REWARD POINTS ON CREDIT CARDS

 Reward Points will be allotted for the transactions made in POS Terminals,
Internet, IVR and MOTO.
 Five Reward Points will be allotted on a minimum amount of Rs.150 spent using
an eligible Andhra Bank Credit card in case of VISA Signature & VISA Platinum
 W.E.F 01-09-2017 Ten Reward Points will be allotted on a minimum amount of
Rs.150 spent using an eligible Andhra Bank Credit card in case of RuPay Platinum
& RuPay Select
 Three Reward Points will be allotted on a minimum amount of Rs.150 spent using
an eligible Andhra Bank Credit card in case of VISA Gold, Classic and Master
Classic and Master Electron cards
 The Reward points will be converted as cash back @ 0.10 paisa for every ONE
Point earned and the cash back amount will be credited to the card account. The
conversion price may vary according to the Bank Policy in force
 Minimum accumulation for redeeming is 2500 Reward points. Such redeem shall
be processed, as per the convenience of Bank, but not later than 4 Months of
such minimum accumulation of reward points
 The expiry period for the reward points is 2 years and beyond the period the
accumulated points in the first month will be lapsed if the total accumulated
points are less than 2500 and the same will be intimated in the monthly bills as
adjusted/lapsed
 The Bank shall automatically process redeeming on accumulation of minimum
Reward points, without any authorization request from the cardholder
 The Reward Points are managed in the card account maintained by Bank and
shall be depicted in the Monthly bills sent to the cardholder.
 Transactions made on Cash advance against Credit cards and on usage at fuel
stations are not eligible for Reward Points
 Reward Points will be redeemed only, if the card status is performing with full
payment of monthly bills or Minimum Payment Dues as per demand
 The accumulated Reward points are cancelled as and when the card account
becomes NPA
 Reward points are not transferable to other cardholder’s account or to another
card account, in case a cardholder is having multiple cards.
 Andhra Bank reserves the right to substitute with products or gift vouchers or Gift
cards.

VISA Lounge Access:


Airport lounge access is being provided by VISA for its card holders and is subject to
change as per VISA’s discretion from time to time without any prior notice.
