This assignment was made to fulfill the CBR assignment of English
grammar. The author hopes that this paper will be a reference for readers if they want to compare the contents of two books on english grammar material.
We hope that constructive criticism and suggestions from readers will
make this paper better. Finally, the author thanks the reader for his attention.

PRELIMINARY
A. Rationalization of the Importance of CBR
The skill to make CBR on the writer can test the ability to summarize and analyze a book and compare books analyzed with other books, recognize and give value and criticize a paper that is analyzed
Often we are confused in choosing reference books for us to read and understand, sometimes we only choose one book to read but the results are still unsatisfactory for example in terms of language analysis and discussion, therefore the authors make CBR receptive oral language skills to facilitate readers in choosing books specific reference to the subject matter of english grammar.
B. Purpose of CBR Writing
Criticize or compare a book about receptive oral language skills and compare with two different books on the same topic. What is compared in the book is the completeness of the discussion, the interrelationship between the chapters, and the weaknesses and strengths of the books analyzed.
C. Benefits of CBR
The benefits we can conclude from the above are:
1. Add insight into knowledge about the understanding of english grammar, characteristics of english grammar, theories of english grammar and others. 2. Facilitate the reader to get the core of a book that has been equipped with a book summary, discussion of the contents of the book, as well as the strengths and weaknesses of the book. 3. Train students to formulate and draw conclusions on the analyzed books. CHAPTER II
SUMMARY OF THE BOOK
MAIN BOOK CHAPTER 1 In formal spoken or written English, every sentence must be complete. The basic rule is that all sentences must have a subject (S), which can be a pronoun, a noun, or a noun phrase, and a verb (V), which can also be a verb phrase. )n many cases, the verb can be followed by a direct object (O). Consider the followingexamples. 1. She works. (S) + (V)
2. Fish swim. (S) + (V)
3. The bus driver needs a break. (S) + (V) + (O) 4. My mother liked the movie. (S) + (V) + (O)
Every sentence must have a subject. The imperative sentence is an
exception to this basic rule, because the subject, you, is understood. )mperative sentences are used to instruct someone to do something.
Noun phrases
The subject of a sentence can be a noun phrase, which can be simple or
complex. The subject can be one word or a group of words that includes a noun together with other words that provide information about the noun. Some noun phrases can be quite complex. Consider the following sentences.
The boy went to theplayground.
The lively boy went to the playground.
The lively boy next door went to the playground. Chapter III
DISCUSSION A. EXCESS OF THE BOOK
1.Main Book The author in presenting books with clear and easy understanding. This certainly becomes a plus for this book, the inclusion can make the reader get more information so that it is easy to conclude the explanation.
1. comparison book The contents are detailed clearly and easily understood so as to increase readers' interest.
B. LACK OF THE BOOK
1.Main Book a. There are some sentences that still need explanation but are not explained.
b. In the book there are no examples of images such as examples from remote sensing sensors, the existence of sample images will make the reader more easily understand and gain insight.
2.comparison book The absence at the end of the chapter includes summaries and questions about questions or questions to see how far the reader understands each chapter in the book.
