STRAIGHT LINE

The point of intersection of the internal bisectors of angles of the


triangle is known as In Centre.

A line from any angle of a triangle to the midpoint of the opposite side is
known as median.

The point of intersection of medians of triangle is known as Centroid.

A line from any angle of a triangle makes an angle of 90o to the opposite
side is known as altitude.

The point of intersection of altitudes of the triangle is known as
Orthocenter.

A line from x-axis to y-axis is said to have an angle of inclination and


the value of inclination is known as slope. The mathematical
terminology for slope is gradient.

Three lines intersect at one common point are known as concurrent lines
and the point of intersection is known as point of concurrency. Medians,
Altitudes and Angle bisectors of a triangle are concurrent lines.
