INTRODUCTION:

“WE CANNOT ALWAYS BUILD THE FUTURE FOR OUR YOUTH BUT WE CAN
BUILD OUR YOUTH FOR THE FUTURE”. – FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT

The greatest wealth and strength of any nation is its youth. It’s future lies in hands of the youth’s
prosperity. The quality of youth that a country possesses determines the future that a nation
would have. Thus in order to ensure a bright future for our country, the nation must invest in
the youth. The youth of the nation are those assets which help in shaping the future of the
nation. They are the powerhouse and storehouse of infinite energy. The power of youth can be
sighted only by mentioning a few names of which every single Indian is proud of, such as
Sachin Tendulkar, Vishwanathan Anand, Sania Mirza, Anju B George, Rajiv Gandhi, Kapil
Dev, Sunil Gavaskar etc. As per India’s Census 2011 the youth of India constitutes one-fifth
(19.1%) of the total population and is expected to grow to a figure of 34.33% by the year 2020.
Thus a large chunk of India’s population comprise of the youth. Hence all we need is to direct
the energy of our youth in constructive channels that lead to development and progress. We
need to empower our youth so that they are able and motivated to make a better tomorrow, and
the best way to do this is by providing them education. Education both primary as well as
secondary helps the youth in understanding the nuances of the world. Education plays a very
vital role in their life which helps them in becoming logical, open- minded , self-respecting ,
honest and a patriotic.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:

 To understand the spirit of youth in the present scenario


 To analyse as to how the youth can contribute in the development of our nation
 To focus on outstanding examples where the youth of India have come up and have
taken an initiative to change the society and the country for better.

HYPOTHESIS:

The researcher tends to presume that the future of the nation depends on the skill development
of the youth to harness the human capital.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY:

The researcher will do doctrinal type of research in which he will go through secondary sources.
It is completely based on data collected from books, journals and web sources.
