A. Energize the ground service network (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001) .

B. Get access to the avionics compartment.
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position at the access door 811.
(2) Open the access door 811.

C. Obey the applicable safety precautions before you open the LGCIU circuit breakers (Ref. AMM TASK 32-
00-00-860-001) .

A. Removal of the LGCIU
(1) Loosen the nuts (4).
(2) Lower the nuts (4).
(3) Pull the LGCIU (1) on its rack (3) to disconnect the electrical connectors (2).
(4) Remove the LGCIU (1) from its rack (3).
(5) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001) .
(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position at the access door
811.
(3) Make sure that the access door 811 is open.
(4) Make sure that you obeyed the flight configuration precautions (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-001) .

Subtask 32-31-71-420-050-A
A. Installation of the LGCIU
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(4) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(5) Install the LGCIU (1) on its rack (3).
(6) Push the LGCIU (1) on its rack (3) to connect the electrical connectors (2).
(7) Engage the nuts (4) on the lugs (5) and tighten.
(8) Make sure that the OBRMs are correctly installed. If they are not installed correctly, push the OBRMs
until the locking devices are locked.

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the access door 811.
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
