PT Holcim Indonesia Tbk is a cement manufacturing company. The company which was
formerly known as PT Semen Cibinong Tbk was established since 1971. This name change
occurred on January 1, 2006. The company is owned by Holcim Ltd (Switzerland) by 77.33% and
the public by 22.7%. Holcim Indonesia is the third largest cement producer in Indonesia, having
four factories with a total production capacity of 14.8 million tons a year and 30 ready mix
facilities.

 Process :

 Blasting
Blasting is the process of cleaning the surface of a material by using a high-pressure
air spraying system with various media such as sand, water, and others.
 Cusher
Crusher functions to break natural rock into smaller sizes according to the
specifications required. In addition to separating rocks from the breakdown by using a
filter or screen.
 The material will be transported by a conveyor belt to the storage or stock. not only
stored but also will be carried out the process of prehomogenesassi or uniformity of
material size at the storage place. this is done to obtain raw materials that meet quality
requirements.
 Then the lime powder is mashed with other raw materials such as silica, iron sand, clay
according to the cement mix design to be produced. then milled in a mixing machine
(rawmill) with a certain fineness which is about 170 mesh / micron and 70 mesh / 212
micron.
 The milled material is called ratumill and is stored in storage while the fine material
that has been filtered in a dust catching tool (Electro Static Preciptation) is removed
from the chimney and monitored according to specified limits. Then preheat the
preheater.
 The next process is combustion in a rotary kiln at a temperature of around 1450 degrees
Celcius, this combustion process will process all thesolid material will melt and form
cryctals or granules called marbles or clinkers.
 Then it is coolrd using cooler, after going through this process the clinker will be stored
in the clinker silo to the grinding machine or fonodh mill. On the way to this clinker
grinding machine is mixed with gypsum & mineral components milled to become
cement.
 Then the cement is stored in a storage silo or disilo cement to ensure the quality of the
cement from raw material to cement, tight control is carried out using robots controlled
by laboratory staff where the testing frequency is carried out every hour. Test carried
out like a flow test.
