Technical Data Sheet - BRIX-final

This technical data sheet provides information about Brix standards for calibrating refractometers. Brix standards indicate the sugar content in aqueous solutions in degrees Brix, which represents the percentage by weight of sucrose in a solution. The data sheet lists the product names, ordering numbers, characteristics, shelf lives, measurement uncertainties, and nominal values of the various Brix standard solutions ranging from 0 to 60 degrees Brix.

Brix Standards

for use in the calibration of refractometers

The product can be used as a reference material for the determination of the Brix value by
refractometers.

Degrees Brix (symbol °Bx) is the sugar content of an aqueous solution. One degree Brix is 1 gram of
sucrose in 100 grams of solution and represents
represe the strength of the solution as percentage by weight (%
w/w).
