    WELCOME SPEECH

    August 10, 2014, 11:00AM

    Good Afternoon!

    A warm word of welcome to everyone as we are about to celebrate my daughter


    Mary Katherine’s Christening and 1st birthday.

    Thank you for coming today. It is a delight to have you with us and special thanks
    to those who have traveled from afar.

    Today is the very first milestone in my daughter’s life and I am absolutely sure that
    she will have many, many milestones in the future --- the first walk, the first talk,
    the first school, the first university and so on.

    I just can’t believe how time flies. And I have to thank God for giving my family
    another blessing. MK is such a lovely little angel.

    I want to take this opportunity to thank both sides of my family for their undying
    support and prayers to my own family.

    I also have a very special person I need to thank – and that is my wife, Cathy – for
    the love, support and for giving me two of the best gifts any man can ask for – my
    children – Jay-R and our birthday girl, MK. (insert spontaneous message of thanks)

    So now, let's capture some magical moments. Let's create happy memories and
    surround ourselves with laughter and friendship as we celebrate this special
    occasion.

    Have fun and thank you all for joining us.


    OPENING PRAYER

    Dear God, Thank you for this wonderful day that you have given us to spend
    with our family and friends. We are so thankful to be together to celebrate the
    birth and life of my sister, Mary Katherine.
    We thank you for the blessings you have made possible for its
    successful preparation.
    Bless the hands that had prepared this place. Bless the people who have
    prepared the food diligently and lovingly with their hands.
    Bless the organizers of this party so they may have more strength and zest to
    continue bringing your love through parties like these.
    We also pray that you bestow your blessing to everyone present in this room.
    May we find joy and love through our meaningful interaction in this event.
    We ask all these blessings in your mighty name, Oh Lord. Amen.

    Hello, everyone!
    My warmest thanks and appreciation to you one and all for coming to my
    daughter MK’s Christening and birthday celebration.
    We are exceptionally blessed and fortunate – for we shared this special day
    with all of you. Thank you for celebrating with us.
    I hope you enjoyed the party and remember this day very fondly.
