Research Methodology

Research Design

This research was conducted as a quantitative research study in which it is used to

quantify the problem by way of generating numerical data or data that can be transformed

into usable statistics. It is used to quantify attitudes, opinions, behaviors, and other defined

variables – and generalize results from a larger sample population (DeFranzo, 2011). The

researchers will use survey-questionnaire to collect data from the participants. And this

study will last for the whole first semester, with the first quarter being the making of

chapters one and two, and the second quarter being the making of the remaining chapters.

Population of Samples

This study is conducted for sellers/entrepreneurs of Grade 12 ABM PM shift

students. The researchers used the population of Grade 12 ABM PM shift students in

University of the East Caloocan Campus. Out of 360 ABM P.M shift students of University

of the East-Caloocan, the researchers collected data from 50 sellers/entrepreneurs.

Research Instrument

The research instrument that we used in our study is survey-questionnaire. A survey

questionnaire is a set of questions used in a survey. It is a type of data gathering method

that is utilized to collect, analyze and interpret the different views of a group of people

from a particular population. The survey questionnaire is a type of data gathering method

that is utilized to collect, analyze and interpret the different views of a group of people

from a particular population. It has been used in different fields such as research,

marketing, politics views, psychology, etc. People use survey-questionnaire to gather the

information that is beneficial to a group of individuals. The survey-questionnaire uses

statistical analysis to collect data, and the result of it will be used in the development of an

individual or to a community (Sincero, 2019).

Data Gathering Procedure

The researchers used a non-probability sampling technique, the purposive

sampling. Through purposive sampling, the researchers set various standards in order to

collect valid and reliable data from the respondents.

Data Processing Procedure and Statistical Treatment

Slovin’s Formula:

Whereas: n=sample size

N= population

e= margin of error

Margin of error= 0.05
