AVR Modification 220V To 400V
AVR Modification 220V To 400V
Description
Modification to 440V specification from 220V AVR-CT.
2.Tools
(1) Field Service Engineer Standard tool
(2) Soldering iron and solder
(3) Fuse 2piece
3.Manpower and Time needed
One person / Three hour
4.Procedure
AVR CT special type (AC220V)
4-1. Remove the jumper wire
Remove the jumper wire of resistance R19(2k ohm) for short.
on LV SEL CONT-10 BOARD
4-2. Wiring modification
Change wiring of the transformer AT-1 terminal block. (Refer to Circuit diagram)
0.52
5.Adjustment Check
The adjustment are check is performed with reference to the following.
Adjustment
(1) Preparation
(a) Turn off NFB of the control cabinet before turning on NFB of the line and the
former NFB must be held open during adjustment of AVR-CT.
CAUTION
When the wiring circuit breaker and the AVR circuit breaker are
closed (turned ON), power is supplied to the autotransformer and
AVR-CT. Be fully careful !
(2) Turn on the NFB of the line and measure the input voltage and output voltage
of the transformer “TAV1” and “TAV2”.
Voltage
0-400 Line voltage
TAV1
0-10 1/40 of line voltage (ex.) 10V when 400V
0-380/400/415/440 Line voltage
TAV2
0-220 220V ± 44V
CAUTION
IF the voltage of TAV2 exceed the above range, connections in the section 3.1
is mistaken or the fluctuation of the line voltage is too large (more then ±
20%).
Confirm the connection of 3.1. When the connection is right and the
fluctuation is high, do not use this unit. And stop the adjustment or break the
unit. At this time , the meter relay (set at ±10%) also operates.
(c) Connect the digital voltage meter between the check terminal CP1 PLV SIG and
the check terminal CP4 GND.
(i) Adjust the VR1 to get the voltage of 4V at the check terminal CP1 PLV SIG.
At this time, confirm the LED L lights and magnet relay “K-L” is turned on.
Next, short-circuit between check terminal CP3 +12V and “15” of terminal
“X1” and between check terminal CP4 GND and “KCLV” of terminal “X1”. Then,
confirm the LED L lights out and the magnet relay “K-L” is not turned off.
Remove above the short circuit and confirm the LED L lights after 2 seconds.
(ii) Increase the voltage of the check terminal CP1 PLV SIG gradually over
4.9V and confirm the LED L lights out and the LED M lights. And also
confirm the magnet relay “K-L” is turned off and the magnet relay “K-M” is
turned on.
Next, short-circuit between check terminal CP3 +12V and “15” of terminal
“X1” and between check terminal CP4 GND and “KCLV” of terminal “X1”.
At this time, confirm the LED M lights out and the magnet relay “K-M” is not
turned off.
(iii) Increase the voltage of the check terminal CP1 PLV SIG over 5.35Vand
confirm the LED M lights out and the LED H lights. And also, confirm the
magnet relay “K-M” is turned off and the magnet relay “K-H” is turned on.
Next, short-circuit between check terminal CP3 +12V and “15” of
terminal “X1” and between check terminal CP4 GND and “KCLV” of
terminal “X1”. At this time, confirm the LED H light out and the magnet
relay “K-H” is not turned off.
Remove above the short circuit and confirm the LED H lights after 2
seconds.
(iv) Increase the above voltage to 5.5V and then decrease the voltage under
5.1V.
Confirm the LED H lights out and LED M lights.
And also, confirm the magnet relay “K-H” is turned off and the magnet
relay “K-M” is turned on.
(v) Decrease the voltage under 4.65V and confirm the LED M lights out and
the LED L lights.
And also, confirm the magnet relay “K-M” is turned off and magnet relay
“K-L” is turned on.
(d) Adjust the voltage of the check terminal CP1 PLV SIG to 5V by trimming the VR1
when the line voltage becomes to nominal voltage.
(ex.) When measured voltage between LU and LV is 400V at 380V nominal
voltage, adjust it to
400V
5V × = 5.26V
380V
(ex.) When measured voltage between LU and LV is 370V at 380V nominal
voltage, adjust it to
370V
5V × = 4.87V
380V
(4) Turn off the NFB of the line and connect the wires that are removed in (1)-(d).
(5) Turn on the NFB of the line. Confirm that AVR-CT runs and the voltage
between LUO and LVO of the added terminal is 400V ± 40V.
(6) Meter relay operational check and setting
(a) Turn ON the wiring and AVR inside circuit breakers.
(b) Make sure that the meter relay shown in Fig.4 indicates a value around 200V.
(c) Turn the operating point setting volumes located
at right and left on the meter front and overlap one
at right and left on the meter front and overlap one
setting pointer on another one to make sure of
lighting of the operation indicator lump at each
operating point.
(d) After making sure of the above, set the left
operating point setting volume to 180V and the
right one to 220V.
