Sketch Out A Few Screens: UX Design Exercise
Sketch Out A Few Screens: UX Design Exercise
You are to sketch out a few screens for an online video conferencing platform, Confico Inc.
Confico specializes in video streaming and conferencing products and wants to design its web
application. Users can browse on Confico’s platform and have a video conference with
colleagues or business associates.
You need to come up with wireframes for this application. Confico’s web app should,
1. Provide ability for users to login to the website and scheduling meetings
2. Users should be able to see scheduled meetings and click on them to join
3. During the conference, show in meeting controls such as audio/video mute, screen
share and chat
4. Show meeting statistics like meeting duration, no of users part of the meeting
5. Provide a simple sharing interface for users to share the meeting link item with friends or
registered users
Goals:
1. Sketch wireframes that illustrates how users would move through this website to achieve
their goals. You can create wireframes with tools like Balsamiq Mockups or something
similar.
2. Come up with designs for important screens using visual design tools like Adobe
Photoshop or equivalent.
3. (Optional) Develop HTML/CSS representation of one of the screens (just to show us if
you can do this).
4. Write a brief summary of your design and describe rationale for the design choices.
5. Clearly articulate constraints, requirements and assumptions you’re making with your
design and user flows.
6. What trade offs you’re making with the design, if any?
Feel free to use your creativity and make assumptions. Above features are like a guideline, you
can improvise on them.
