This document contains the results of a crosstabulation analysis in SPSS comparing two variables, reA7 and remetroaa, from a dataset with 20 total cases. The analysis found 11 valid cases. A crosstabulation table shows that of those cases, 1 was sensitive and 10 were resistant to resistensimetronidazole. Tests were run but no significant associations were found. The analysis was then repeated comparing reA7 to remetropg, but only 4 valid cases were found so no measures of association could be computed.

Under the conditional independence assumption, Cochran's statistic


is asymptotically distributed as a 1 df chi-squared distribution, only if
the number of strata is fixed, while the Mantel-Haenszel statistic is
always asymptotically distributed as a 1 df chi-squared distribution.
Note that the continuity correction is removed from the Mantel-
Haenszel statistic when the sum of the differences between the
observed and the expected is 0.
