Procedures

 Start the class with a prayer. Introduce oneself as teacher for Personal Development.
Introductory Activity
 Check the names of the students in the list.
10 mins
 Give an overview of the subject Personal Development.

 The teacher will distribute the self- concept inventory questionnaire.

 Instruct the students on how to go about the questionnaire.


Activity
5 minutes  Each student must answer the questionnaire honestly.

 They will be given 5 minutes to answer and assess the result of their answers.

After the activity, the teacher will ask the following questions:
 After answering the questionnaire, are you satisfied with the result?
Analysis
 Based on the result of the questionnaire, what have you discovered?
10 mins
 What do you think is being evaluated by the questionnaire?

 Discuss the KEY POINTS on self-concept

Ideal self- is the self that you aspire to be.

Actual self- is one that you actually see. It is the self that has characteristics that you were
Abstraction nurture or, in some cases, born to have.
20 mins
Self-concept-refers to your awareness of yourself.

Self- knowledge is derived from the social interactions that provide insight into how others
react to you.

Self- image- is it the actual self

 Think- Pair-Share
Application  The students will choose a partner and share the result of their self-concept inventory
10 mins questionnaire.
 Conduct a simple disclosure about herself/himself

Reflection Test
Assessment
 Students will make a reflection paper on his/her perception of the topic.

 Use rubric in scoring. (see attachment)

 Discuss strength and weakness.

 Differentiate strength from weakness.

 Give examples of strengths and weaknesses.

Divide the class into 5 groups.


Teacher lets the students perform a role play by group.
Application  Each group will brainstorm and practice the role play emphasizing their strengths and

 They will also include in their role play the ways to improve their weaknesses into a
