This document discusses layering and masking techniques in Procreate. It explains how to create a background layer, add a shaped element on its own layer, then use the masking tool to automatically create a mask for that shape to isolate it and allow only what is inside the mask to show through on layers placed above. This allows for non-destructive layering and stacking of graphical elements.
