OFFICIAL RULEBOOK

General Guidelines
• The event is scheduled for 1st – 3rd February 2019.

• The registration fee for Sports events is INR 400 without accommodation and INR 500 with
accommodation(NCR colleges will not be provided accommodation, matches for them will be scheduled
accordingly). Food expenses will be borne by the players only.

•The host team will be putting up two teams and an alumni team in each sport.

• The team needs to inform about their accommodation at-least 3 days prior to their visit and the amount
must be deposited as soon as team arrives/ registers for the first event. Any damages done to the
accommodation will be paid by the participants.

• The teams are expected to show true sportsmanship throughout the tournament and any act of
misconduct may lead to cancellation of the respective team and/or the whole contingent.

• All students should compulsorily bring their college/university ID Cards, without which the student will
not be permitted to participate.

• The sports conduit reserves all the rights to change the time and the venue of the matches.
General Guidelines
• Any event can be deleted or added without any prior notice.

• The decision of the referees/umpires will be final and binding, no protest shall be entertained on the
field.

• Spectators have to follow spectator protocols for respective sports.

• The decision of organizing committee in case of any dispute shall be deemed final.

Badminton (Mixed)
• Minimum 3 men and 2 women players required per team.

• One player can play a maximum of 2 matches (1 singles and 1


doubles). Cash Prize: Rs 8000
• It will be a knock out format where each tie will be decided on
best of 5 matches format.

• 3 singles and 2 doubles matches in the order – Men Singles, Men SPOC:
Singles, Men Doubles, Women Singles and Mixed Doubles – will be Vishesh Shrivastava (9711498605)
played.

• Each match will be best of three sets of 21 points each.

• Standard international Badminton rules will be followed.

• Decision of Referee will be final and binding.


Basketball (Men & Women)
• Each team can have a maximum of 10 players with 5 active
players on the court at any point of time.
Men
• Matches would be played on knockout basis. Cash Prize: Rs 8000
• Matches will be played on full court and consist of 4 quarters of 8 Women
minutes each for men and 5 minutes for women. There will be a
break of 1 minute between quarters and 2minute after half time. Cash Prize: Rs 4000
• 1 timeout is allowed per team per quarter (30 seconds duration). SPOC:
• Rolling substitutions will be allowed with prior information to the Shubham Kothare (7350194964)
referee. Rajeeta Prasad (9174329739)

• Rules regarding violations given on NBA official website will be


followed.

• Final call on violations and fouls would solely be taken by the


referees.
Carrom (Mixed)
• The team must consist of at least 4 players .

• There will be 5 rounds in a match. The sequence would be S, S, D,


S, D (3 singles, 2 doubles). Cash Prize: Rs 5000
• Each player can play a maximum of 2 matches: 1 singles & SPOC:

• Each round will be a best of 5 boards.

• Back shots (thumbing) are allowed.

• Foul (if valid) will be given only if the opponent claims it.

• All other standard carrom rules will be followed.

•There is no cap on number of male and female players.


Chess (Mixed)

• Each team will consist of 5 players which can comprise of both


males and females (no cap).

• Each match will be of maximum 40-minute duration with each Cash Prize: Rs 5000
player getting 20 minutes on the clock.
SPOC:
• Each team will give its board order at the start of the match. Vaibhav Chandak (9403286261)

• A team will be declared winner if it is able to score a minimum of


3 points out of 5. ( 1 for win, ½ for a draw, 0 for loss).

• Toss winner will get to choose white or black board for board
number 1,3 and 5. Board 2 and 4 will have the opposite color.

• Minor rules related to game play and code of conduct will be


conveyed to participating teams at the tournament day.
• Decision of Referee will be final and binding.
Cricket (Men)
• Each Team will have 11 active players and max 4 reserve players.

• Matches would be played on knockout basis.


Cash Prize: Rs 8000
• Matches will be 8 overs per innings (Each bowler-Max 2 overs)
SPOC:
• Matches will be played in daylight with a hard tennis ball. Mohammed Ishtiyaq (7093004111)

• Fielding restrictions will apply for first 2 overs per innings.

• Runner would not be allowed under any circumstances.

• In case of a tie, Super Over will decide the fate of the match. In
case of a tie in SUPER OVER, the team with most number of sixes
will be considered the winner.

• The decision of the umpires will be final and standard ICC T20
rules would be followed.
Futsal (Men)
• Each team will consist of 6 active players (including GK) and
maximum 4 substitute.

•Each match would consist of two halves of 15 minutes each with a Cash Prize: Rs 8000
5 minute break in between.
SPOC:
•Rolling substitution is allowed. This will be done during stop of Shubham Sodhani (9929679999)
play after informing the Referee. Truptesh Wagh (8554942409)

• There will be no offside for Futsal.

• If scores remain same, then there will be extra-time of 5 minutes


after 3 minutes break.

• Penalty shootout will consist of 3 penalty kicks followed by


sudden death if undecided.

•The decision of the referee would be final.


Poker (Mixed)
• Each college will be represented by two players.

• The number of tables will be decided based on the total number Winner
of participants (On one table – Min 6 players, Max 9) Cash Prize: Rs 3500
• Standard Rules of Texas Hold'em (No Limit) Poker Apply
• Starting chips 2000 Runner-up

• Blinds will be raised every 20 minutes up to 150/300 and 15 minutes


Cash Prize: Rs 1500
thereafter and small/big blinds will be: 10/20, 20/40, 50/100, 100/200,
150/300, 200/400, 300/600, 400/800 up to 500/1000. The small/big will
remain constant after this at 500/1000 till a winner is decided. SPOC:

• There will be a 5 minute break after each hour.
• Players need to submit their phones to the dealer at the start of the match
but may use them during the break outside the room
• Spectators need to be sufficiently away from the table so as to not
influence or disrupt the discipline of the game.
Table Tennis (Men & Women)

Men
• Each team will consist of minimum 4 players.
Men
• The match will comprise of 5 games in the following order: S, S, D,
S, D (3 singles and 2 doubles). Cash Prize: Rs 8000
• A player can play a maximum of 1 singles and 1 doubles match.
• Each game will consist of 5 sets of 11 points each.
Women

Women
Cash Prize: Rs 4000
• Each team will consist of minimum 2 players. SPOC:
• The match will comprise of 3 games in the following order: S, D, S Ankit Dayal (8011201650)

• A player can play a maximum of 1 singles and 1 doubles match.
• Each game will consist of 5 sets of 11 points each.
Throwball (Women)
• The teams must consist of 6 active players and max 4 substitutes.

• The match will be played as best of 3 sets of 25 points each.


Service change will be counted as a point (continuous points rule Cash Prize: Rs 5000
applies).
SPOC:
• 2 timeouts and 4 substitutions are allowed per set. Prajakta Ostwal (9167611040)

• The ball must be thrown above shoulder (no side arms/under


arm).

• The ball must be caught with 2 hands and thrown with one hand.
• The ball cannot touch any part of the body other than palm.
• Shifting of ball from one hand to another is not allowed.

• The ball must be released within 3 seconds of catching.


• All other standard rules of the game apply and referees decision
would be final.
Volleyball (Men & Women)
• Each squad will comprise of a maximum of 12 players with 6
active players on the court at any point of time (separate teams for Men
men and women).
• Qualifying and Semi-final matches would be of 3 sets-25 points Cash Prize: Rs 8000
each. Final match would be of 5 sets (3 sets for women). First 4 set
for 25 points and last set for 15 points. Women
• Matches would be played on Knockout basis. Cash Prize: Rs 4000
• Time outs: A team can take a maximum of 2 time-outs of 30
seconds each in a set. In case a player gets injured, a medical time
out of 1 minute will be allowed. Medical timeouts will be limited to SPOC:

• Maximum 6 substitutions are allowed per set. Alina Patel (7701885712)
• Rally scoring to be used in all matches.
• Rotation of the team members is not mandatory.
• Service rotation is compulsory: Minimum 3 players should serve
in a round robin fashion.
• The referee’s decisions will be final and abiding.
• All other standard Volleyball rules apply.
