The densities of liquids and solids

ABSTRACT
This is to determine liquids and metal. To accomplish this, the volume and the
mass of the liquid and solid substances were accurately measured. The mass of the
solid was measured using a top loading balance, and its volume was measured
using flask to see how much water had risen. To measure the water’s mass we used
top loading balance. After measuring the volume and mass of the liquid and solid,
then we calculated the densities by using the formula
INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this experiment is to understand the meaning and significance of the
density of a substance. Density is a basic physical property of a homogeneous
substance; it is an intensive property, which means it depends only on the substance's
composition and does not vary with size or amount. The determination of density is
a nondestructive physical process for distinguishing one substance from another.
Density is the ratio of a substance's mass to its own volume.
EXPERIMENTAL
In the first part of the laboratory activity, a study of density will be conducted using
measurements from using top loading balance, we will measure the volume and mass
of the solid and liquids, we will use a flask and stopper then will put the water and
after we will put some metal, after that the unknown water, then after all of that we
calculate the mass, volume, and density
