Learning Strategy HOTS: Teacher gives 2 different kinds of announcements


Meaningful Learning based on different situations
- Observing announcement text by differentiating main idea
and supporting idea of the announcement text
- Composing announcement text by using the situation that
given by the teacher.
- Practicing plans and intentions dialogue in front of the class.

A. Core Competence Description:

KI 3 (Knowledge) : Understand, apply, analysing, and evaluate about basic, conceptual,


procedural, and metacognitive according to the field and scope of English studies at the
technical level, specific , detailed, and complex, regarding with science, technology, art,
culture, and humanities in the context of developing self-potency as part of family, school,
world of work, national, regional and international citizens

KI 4 (Skill) : Carry out specific tasks using tools, information, and work procedures that
are commonly carried out and solve problems in accordance with the field of English
studies, Conduct performance under guidance with measurable quality and quantity in
accordance with work competency standards. Demonstrate reasoning, processing, and
presenting skills effectively, creatively, productively, critically, independently,
collaboratively, communicatively, and solutions in the abstract realm related to the
development of what they have learned in school, as well as being able to carry out specific
tasks under direct supervision. Demonstrate the skills of perception, readiness, imitation,
and familiarization advanced movement, making natural motion in the concrete realm
related to the development of what he learned in the school, and being able to carry out
specific task under direct supervision.

text in the form of announcements by giving and requesting information related to
school activities and workplaces, according to the context of their use.

D. Learning Objectives
Through learning activities using the Scientific Approach combined with the
Project-based Learning method guides students to develop the ability to listen, express
opinions and thoughts (talk), write announcements texts, and present the results in front of
the class. During and after following this learning process students are expected to be able
to:
1. Observe written and oral texts of announcement text by reading and listening
carefully
2. Compose oral and written texts about announcement text correctly.
3. Practise the expression of announcement fluently.

 Title : This is the most important part because it represents the overall
contents of the announcer. Even so sometimes it is not clearly stated.
 Explanation : Further explanation about the announcement. Usually
composedfrom basic information that includes: type of activity, time,
place and participant.

 Common phrases and vocabularies used announcements
 The proper use of singular and plural nominal, with or without a, the, this,
those, my, their, etc. correctly in nominal phrases

3. Learning Remedial and Enrichment
A. Remedial
Remedial can be given to learners who have not reached the KKM or to students
who have been beyond the KKM. Remedial consists of two parts:
Remedial because it has not reached the KKM and because it has not reachedthe basic
competencies.
Teachers are passionate to learners who have not reached KKM (criteria
minimal submission). Teachers will provide assignments for learners who have not

B. Enrichment
Enrichment is given to increase student insights on learning material that can be
given to students who have completed achieving KKM or achieve basic competence.
Enrichment can be billed or not billed, according to agreement with the participant.
Planned based on GPA or learning materials in need broader development e.g.
 Teachers address questions to learners of what things they don't understand.

What is announcement? The definition of announcement relating to learning English
functional text is an official notification about something. So publicly people know what,
when, and where it is about.
The purpose, function, and goal of announcement is giving certain people some information
of what has happened or what will happen. The generic structure of announcement in English
text can be seen below
1. Stating Purpose : The text that contains what event will be held
2. Stating Day and Date and time : Day and Date realization. The text that contains when the
event will be held
3. Stating Place : The text that contains where the event will be held
4. Informing Sender : The text that contains name of the person who will be contacted
Now after we give you the common generic structure of any types of announcement, the
sample text below will give you better understanding on what and how an announcement is
written. Here they are!

Example of Announcement 1
This make passengers is announced that they can not bring some objects when they go on
flight

This announcement is written for student in the third grade. They should return the books on
certain time stated.
