“Unity in Diversity: Quality Education for All”

Thank you for that kind introduction and thank you to all the teachers and students of
Antipolo Elementary School for inviting me to join you in celebrating this memorable event –
your graduation day!
My respect to Almighty God for bringing us here today, the Schools Division
Superintendent reprented by _______________(Title), to the faculty and staff of Antipolo
Elementary School headed by Mrs. Estela B. Acaylar, to the Barangay Councils under the
regime of Hon. Zosimo P. Sygaco, to all our happy graduates, to our proud parents, friends,
ladies and gentlemen, good afternoon!
It is my privilege to be here today in my alma mater as your guest speaker for todays
graduation ceremony with the theme “Unity in Diversity: Quality Education for All”.
First of all, my warmest congratulations to you graduates! You already reached the half
of your journey in the K to 12 program of the Department of Education. Your parents are very
proud of your achievements. Their hearts are joyful to see you marching with them. Ang kalipay
sa ilang kasingkasing dili kabayran sa bisan pila nga salapi in the fact that you are graduating
today.
Congratulations to the proud parents of our graduates! Your support to your children is
very important for their success. Kon wala mong mga ginikanan wala unta sila karon diri nga
mudawat sa ilang diploma. You are the compass that lead them to the right direction. I hope
that you will always guide them to do the right things for their future.
Congratulations also to our noble teachers of Antipolo Elementary School! Some of you
are my former mentors that became my inspiration to become one of you. You are the candle
that give lights to our graduates. The knowledge, skills and attitude they acquired from you will
become their foundation and weapon as they continue to the next chapter of their school life –
being high school students.
I remember what my mother said to us, “Ang edukasyon maoy bugtong bahandi nga
ilang mahatag sa amoa.” Kung makahuman mo sa pag-eskwela walay bisan kinsang tawo nga
makakawat kon makakuha ana nga bahandi. Insakto ang iyang giingon. So, continue your
studies and achieve your ambition. I am very proud of my parents. Even though my mother is
an elementary graduate and my father is elementary level only wala sila ga kulang
So, to all the parents
of our graduates, support and guide your siblings. Encourage your children for them to pursue
their dreams.
To our dear graduates, I just want to give you 3 reminders.
First, be respectful! Respect first yourselves and respecting others will follow. It is very
powerful to make our country a peaceful and harmonious one. Respect your parents for they
know the best for you.
Second, be honest! Your heart will enjoy the happiness of life if you have honesty.
Lastly, be wise! Be wise in all your undertakings when you go to high school. Be wise in
a good way. Do your works in school using your initiatives. Your creative mind has no limit. The
only limit is being lazy. Achieve your dreams wisely! In achieving your dreams, there are people
who are part and will be part of it – that is your classmates.
I can describe you like fruits salad. A bowl of different fruits which we can taste the
different flavor but have harmony as one salad. That is ‘United in Diversity’. Your teachers are
aware of your diversity. Even though you are diverse learners, they used different strategies
just to come up with quality of education you deserved despite your diversity.
As you step to the higher grade may you bring the pride of your alma mater. Starting
tomorrow you will be writing the blank pages of your book of journey. It is up to you how you
will write that blank pages. But my advice to you, make it colorful.
Before I will end my speech, I just want to share with you the meaning of the acronym I'd
made honoring our alma mater- ANTIPOLO Elementary School. This will be your guide as you
continue the battle in the next pages of your life.
A.N.T.I.P.O.L.O that stands for
A - Aim. Aim high for your future. Do not just be contented that you have made it today
but aim for you to have a good and secured life in the future.
N - Neighborhood. I believe that 'no one is an island'. So, be kind to your neighbor
because they have important role in your success. They maybe inspire you or maybe motivate
you. Your good relationship to your neighbor is one key to achieve a harmonious society.
T - Time-bound. In all your works you need to consider accomplishing it before or on-
time. That is one of the criteria when you do a project in high school.
I - Interest. Follow your interest. If you choose certain course or field of specialization in
TLE or TVL choose what interest you most not what your classmates chose. In the long run
you sustain in the field of your interest.
P- Prayer. Above all, pray to God Almighty because without him you cannot be here right
now. He provides us what we need. If you are lost, pray to God for He will guide you back to
road where you will be good.
O - Optimistic. Be positive to yourself and to all the happenings in your life. To be
optimistic means of favorable results if you will add patience.
L - Love. Love God above all. Love your parents for they gave the best for you. Love your
teachers for they consider you as their children. And most especially love yourself. If you love
yourself, loving you by other people will follow. Lastly, another
O - Open-minded. Be open to all opinions. For us to arrive in a consensus for a better
good, we need to be an Open-minded.
I hope I have inspired you in a little way of delivering my speech today. God bless us all!

asa ng bayan!
