Artificial intelligence (AI) simply is:

 The ability of a machine or a computer program to think and learn.

 The idea of building machines capable of thinking, acting, and learning like humans.

 A computer science branch which tries to make computers "smart".

The characteristic of good games

A good game gives players

 Challenges
Gives players continuous challenges, each of which leads to another challenge, to
keep them "hooked" on playing a game.
 interactivity and Interesting Storyline
How the player experiences the story, movements, and environment of a game.

 Flexibility
There are many different ways for players to accomplish each goal.

 Immediate, useful rewards.

Successful players can be rewarded with new capabilities, a new part of the board
to explore or even a new task

 Combining Fun and Realism

Combine simulations with goals and challenges

 progression
Progression gameplay depends on checkpoints that a character must reach to
advance to the next level.

 feedback
This could be a simple score or unlocking skills or extra levels for players who do
very well.

 Graphics and Art Style

It’s what the player sees. Everything from the environments, the characters and the
lighting all play a role in the look and feel of the game.

Can a machine think?

In 1950, Alan Turing was one of the first to study this problem, one of the founders of
computer science and artificial intelligence, developing a test to determine if a
machine can be called intelligent or not. It is known as Turing Test.

Turing Test
 It is a test of a machine's ability to behave like a human.
 It is a test to measure the artificial intelligence of a computer.

The simplified version of Turing test

The human interviewer communicates via teletype with another subject placed in another room.
It could be a person or a computer. The machine must convince the interviewer that it's a human.

chatbot

A Chabot is an artificial intelligence software that can simulate a conversation (or a chat) with a
human in natural language through messaging applications, websites, mobile apps or through
the telephone.

Siri: available on any Apple device, including its line of laptops, desktops, phones and tablets, and smartwatches.
Cortana: Microsoft's AI, Cortana, comes standard on Windows machines.
Google Assistant: available on all Android and iOS devices as well as on Chromebooks.
Alexa: Amazon's smart assistant is accessible through the Amazon's line of Fire tablets and Fire TV.
examples of intelligent robots and computers in popular culture

Sophia: is a social humanoid robot developed by Hong Kong-based company Hanson

Robotics.
Deep Blue: was a chess-playing computer developed by IBM

Deep Blue won its first game against a world champion Garry Kasparov on 10 February 1996,
when it defeated him in game one of a six-game match.

What is essential differences would be between a robot or computer running an

AI program and a human being?
Could the AI be said to be conscious?
Would it have free will?

Consciousness: Being awake, alert and responsive to the surrounding environment.

free will: The ability of making decisions.
