Engineering Documentation Review Checklist

ECO #:

Intralink
✔ All documents are in Intralink
✔ Revision in Intralink matches the revision on the drawing
 Version in Intralink matches the version on the drawing (Pro-E only)

✔ Correct file name used in Intralink (07-123793A)


 Correct ECO number listed in Intralink

✔ OB/SU/IN parts do not go into Intralink


 Request promotion

 Not Applicable – change did not affect Intralink file(s)

ECO

✔ All descriptions must be in upper case letters
 No customer names. Exception: top level systems or RFK’s


✔ No manufacturer, supplier, vendor name or part number in part description
 Correct drawing PDF is attached to the Doc page of the ECO


✔ Revision on the document matches the revision on the ECO
 The Title Name (description) on the drawing matches the description on the

ECO. Exception: if the description is over 40 characters, then the Title


Name must match the long text.

✔ Verify all abbreviations are correct (06-328685A)
 All abbreviations must be spelled out in the long text

 IF artwork is being revised, the revision must match drawing revision


 All extensions of a part number must be revised. Exception: Generics
o Example: 16-320174B01 being revised, then B02, B03, etc. must be
brought to the same revision.
 Verify Customer Documentation Package is marked correctly (07-123544A)

Drawing

✔ Verify that there are no “+” (plus) signs on drawings in the version and
revision blocks. (Pro-E only)

✔ Verify the correct ECO number is on the drawing PDF

✔ For the initial release of a drawing, the approval initials in the revision block
must match the approval name in the title block.


Verify sheet numbers are in proper order
 IF artwork is being revised, the revision must match drawing revision

✔ Verify the revision is the same on all sheets of the drawing. Exception:
Schematics.

✔ Verify the Title Name (description) on the drawing matches the description on
the ECO. Exception: if the description is over 40 characters, then the Title
Name must match the long text.
 Verify all abbreviations are correct (06-328685A)

✔ No manufacturer, supplier, vendor name or part number in part description
 Not Applicable – there are no drawings on the ECO

Part Spec (07-116626A)



✔ When creating a new commercial/catalog part, verify that the manufacturer
part number does not already exist in eDoc.

✔ No manufacturer, supplier, vendor name or part number in part description
 Data sheet must have a red square around the manufacturer part number


✔ Only the manufacturer part number can be in red. Use a different color for
noting additional information.

✔ Verify the manufacturer part number on data sheet matches the manufacturer
part number on the request form as well as what is entered into the Material
Master on the ECO
 Verify the description on the request form matches the description on the

ECO. Exception: if the description is over 40 characters, then the Title


Name must match the long text.

✔ All abbreviations must be spelled out in the long text

✔ Verify the data sheet is readable
 Verify the data sheet is in English

 Not Applicable – there is not a Part Spec. on the ECO
