Introduction:
Aircraft Design is the science of engineering man-made machines that would help
mankind fly. The design process starts with the aircraft's intended purpose. Commercial
airliners are designed for carrying a passenger or cargo payload, long range and greater
fuel efficiency where as fighter jets are designed to perform high speed maneuvers and
provide close support to ground troops. Some aircraft have specific missions, for instance,
amphibious airplanes have a unique design that allows them to operate from both land
and water, some fighters, like the Harrier Jump Jet, have VTOL (Vertical Take-off and
Landing) ability, helicopters have the ability to hover over an area for a period of time.
This design shall be called “CESSNA 3X”. Since it is composed of different aircraft
engines which has a goal of testing its efficiency and specifications which will be observed
in all its flight in the given time.
The aircraft will be designed with a plan to have enough propulsion and endurance
while maintaining maximum cruising speed at a desired altitude. CESSNA 3X will have
the fuselage and landing gear configuration of the Piper Cessna 195. The wings and
empennage will be from the Cessna 182. The length and height will be based from
Cessna Model A and Cessna 195. Using these characteristics, the birth of the concept
aircraft known as “CESSNA 3X” had been formed.
