PREPARATION FOR ISSUE OF ROUGH INDICATION COST,
APPROXIMATE ESTIMATES AND ENGINEER APPRECIATION
1. Reference this HQ Policy letter of even No dated 19 May 15 (Policy 09/2015).
2. Large number of queries have been received from the environment by linking the powers of Commanders (CFA) with that of the Engineering Authorities. The powers of CFA and Engineering Authorities are different and derived from DFPDS - 2015 and Table 'B' of RMES respectively and are independent of each other.
3. Revised powers of CEA for issue of Rough Indication Cost (RIC),
Approximate Estimates (AEs) and Engineer Appreciation for both authorised and special works under the provisions of Para 29 (f) of DWP 2007 are enclosed as appendices 'A' to 'C'.
4. This letter supersedes this HQ letter of even No dated 19 May 15 (Policy
09/2015).
