SYSTEM FEATURES

1. INTER-FLAT COMMUNICATION:
Flat owner can communicate with any other flat owner by just dialing the
respective flat number (extension number)

2. TONE & PULSE DAILING:


You can connect any standard telephone instrument with Tone or/and Pulse
(10 pps) dialing mode. The System is capable of handling both type of dialing.

3. WAKE UP ALARM:
Each extension can ave their own morning larm/Reminder call. Time should
be entered in 24 Hrs basis (RAILWAY TIME) Example to set alarm at 4.30
PM i.e. 16.30 Hrs.

Step 1 : Dial “#766” wait for beep


Step 2 : Dial 16 wait for beep
Step 3 : Dial 30 wait for beep & hang up Programming error is
indicated by 8 beeps and if so happens above steps are to be repeated.

4. CALL HUNTING / SINGLE DIGIT SECURITY ACCESS:


Security man can be called by dialing single digit number with hunting for 2
or 3 or 4 extensions as per programmed extension numbers. In hunting mode
first system will look for the 1st extension if busy then only it jumps to the 2nd
Programmed extension , if that is also busy it jumps to the 4th programmed
extension.

5. ALL PARTY CONFERENCE:


Unlimited extensions can be on conference at a time. Procedure for
Conferencing :

Step 1 : press “flash”, during conversation


Step 2 : Dial required extension number & talk Repeat the above
Procedure to make conference with more people.

6. AUTO REDIAL OF MISSED CALL:


Any extension giving more than eight rings to other extension becomes a
registered incoming caller.
Procedure to call to the registered incoming caller / Missed call

Step 1 : Lift the handset.


Step 2 : Dial “#40”
Immediately last registered incoming caller’s extension start ringing.
7. CALLED NUMBER IDENTIFICATION:
Each extension can obtain the last 10 caled numbers through the display unit
installed at the security.
Procedure to get caller identification

Step 1 : Dial your security extension number and ask the security to
watch the display board
Step 2 : press “Flash”

Step 3 : press “#50” for last caller’s number


OR
: press “#51” for last but one caller’s number
OR
: press “#52” for last but 2nd caller’s number
: press “#59” for last but 9th caller’s number
Step 4 : Ask the security to read out the number appearing on his
display board.

8. CALL BARRING (NO MAN’S EXTENSION):


This feature helps to restrict the strangers/blank calls to the flat Any
extensions like LIFT,Terrace can be defined as NO MAN’s extension so that
from such extension you will only be able to contact security not to the flats.

Procedure for Defining NO MAN’S extensions.


From Master :

Step 1 : Dial “#713” – wait for beep.


Step 2 : Dial the required extension no.wait for beep

Procedure for Defining Normal extension

Step 2 : Dial the required extension no. wait for beep

9. WATCH MAN’S WATCH DOG:


This Feature keeps watch on watchman whether he is sleeping during right
time. Watchman’s extension will ring at the predefined hours. (you can set 6
different alarm hours ) System stores wheather the watchman has lifted the
telephone or not. The details of each watchman’s result can be obtained
through display by punching the code. Maximum of 4 extensions you can
define as Watchman.

a) Procedure for defining the watchdog Manager. Only from this


extension you can activate and do necessary changes in alarm time and
watchman number.
From Master :

Step 1 : Dial “#736” – wait for beep


Step 2 : Dial the Watchdog Manager extension number
Note : Only one extension can be made as watchdog Manager.

b) Procedure for defining the watchman extension number :


From Watchdog Manager extension:

Step 1 : Dial “#731” – wait for beep


Step 2 : Dial - extension no. – wait for beep
Step 3 : Dial – extension no. – wait for beep
Step 4 : Dial – extension no. – wait for beep
Step 5 : Dial – extension no. – wait for beep hangup
Note : Maximum four extension can be defined as a watchman
extensions.

c) Procedure for defining the alarm time :


You can set 6 different time alarms , Time should be entered in 24 hrs.basis
(Railway Time)

From Watchdog Manager Extension :


Dial “#733”- 1 - HH – MM (For first alarm time)

“#733”- 2 - HH – MM (For second alarm time)
---//----
“#733”- 6 – HH – MM (For 6th alarm time)

Note : All above a, b & c procedures are stored permanently in the


Systems & need not be programmed every time.

d) Procedure to Activate :
From Watchdog Manager Extension :
Dial “#730”

This will activate watchman’s watch dog and will store the number of times
the extension has answered the ring.

e)Procedure to Decactivate :
From Watchdog Manager Extension :
Dial “#734”
This Will deactivate watchman’s watch dog.

f) Procedure to get display of watchdog’s details :


Dial ‘#735” – Extension number (Watchman extension)
(if the dialed extension does not belong to watchman extension system give 8
beeps & there won’t be any change in the display unit.)

Display indicates as follows :

Display unit at the security

Number of times the extension has


answeredthe call

Total number of times the extension has


received ring.

10. SUPER CROSS CHECK :


In case of doubt on visitor, security can activate the features of super cross check.
This provides an auto ring after few minutes (as per programmed time) from
visitor’s entry for checking that visitor has entered the said flat or not. Four
extension will have super cross check facility. (usually the security extension)

Procedure to activate this feature

Step 1 : Dial the required Flat number as requested by visitor. Take


the Permission of the flat owner to send the visitor
Step 2 : After disconnecting Dial “#42”
System will give ring after pre-programmed time.And you
Can confirm visitor’s credentials.

Procedure to set the time period to reach the flat


From Master

Step 1 : Dial “#743” - wait for beep


Step 2 : Dial “ 2 “ - wait for beep
Step 3 : Dial “ XX” - wait for beep & Hang up.
( XX - 01 = 35 seconds
- 02 = 70 seconds )
Note : 1. No need to set time period every time.
(set only once during installation)
2. DIP switch Setting : Refer DIP switch setting page 23-24
11. PANIC ALERT CODE “#0” :
In case of emergency lift the handset & Dial “#0”. Immediately display will show
your flat number with siron.

Note : Press the panic cod in extreme emergency only.

12. SIMULTANEOUS EMERGENCY DIALING :


In case of emergency you can dial “#777” from your extension so that it will give
Ring simultaneously at four pre-programmed extensions.Whenever anyone or
More responds to your call can have the conversation with you.

Procedure for programming the four required extension for emergency ringing.

From your extension :

Step 1 : Dial “#723” - wait for beep


Step 2 : Dial - extension no. - wait for beep
Step 3 : Dial - extension no. - wait for beep
Step 4 : Dial - extension no. - wait for beep
Step 5 : Dial - extension no. - wait for beep hang-up

Note : Max. four extensions can be programmed.

13. UNIQUE PANIC ALERT TO EVER FLAT BY SECURITY INCASE OF AN


EMERGENCY :
In case of emergency at the security he can dial “#777” from his instrument.
At that time all extensions will start ringing. Whoever lifts the handset can have
conversation with the security. This will continue till the security keeps his
receiver down.

14. BARGE IN FROM SECURITY & KEY PERSONNEL :


If the dialed extension is busy ( in conversation with other extension ) you can
barge in between the conversation of that extension ( This feature is useful in case
of any important message to be passed to that extension ).

How to barge in

Step 1 : Dial the extension number and get busy tone.


Step 2 : Dial ‘#44” You can now talk to that extension.

Note : This is a restricted facility. For this facility to be allowed to any


extension you have to program the system from the master
extension.

Step 1 : Dial # 710 - wait for beep
Step 2 : Dial the required extension numbers wait for beep

Procedure for removing barge in facility


From Master

Step 1 : Dial #700 - wait for beep


Step 2 : Dial the required extension no. –wait for beep

Note : You will hear signal beep tone when any extension barges in
between your conversation.

15. AUTO CALL BACK :


If the dialedextension is busy. Dial #48 and replace the handset. You will get ring
after the busy extension no. gets free.

16. FOLLOW ME FOR CALLS TO BE RE –DIRECTED :


When you are not at home, incoming calls can be forwarded to any other
extension as per your requirement.

Procedure for Call forwarding :

Step 1 : press #41.


Step 2 : press required extension no.

After this any extension calling your extension will automatically land at the
Forwarded Extension.
Forwarded line will be indicated at the security on his display as soon ashe dials
your extension number.

Cancellation of call Forward

Step 1 : press #41 and hang up

Note : DIP switch Setting :Refer DIP switch setting page 23-24

17. DO NOT DISTURB :


When you are in some important work and not to be disturbed by any telephone
Calls you can activate this feature. This feature will be activate till you deactivate
It or any power failure.

Procedure for activating this feature :

Step 1 : Dial “#47”, hang up


Your dial tone will get changed.
Procedure for deactivating this feature :

Step 1 : Dial “#47” hang-up


Your dial tone will get changed to normal dial tone

18. HOT LINE :


System allows you to select one extension number ( Hot line number ) Which is a
Automatically dialed after a delay of three seconds from lifting the handset.
Procedure to set up a hot line number.

Step 1 : press #722 wait for beep


Step 2 : press desired extension number & hang up

Procedure to cancel hotline number


Press #722 wait for three beeps & hang up

19. REAL TIME CLOCK SETTING :


The timing on display can be changed from the Master extension by following
Program.

Step 1 : Dial #760 - wait for beep


Step 2 : Dial “HH” - wait for beep
Step 3 : Dial “MM”- wait for beep & hangup
“HH” –Hour in 24 hours mode from 00 to 23
“MM”-Minutes from 00 to 59
Immediately display will change to present feed time

20. PANIC ALERT CHECK (available in WALL MOUNT Model only) :


To Check panic alerts registered at the Security. Dial # 45 from display.
extension. The display will indicate the last 10 flat no. Who has given the panic
alerts.
B) OPTIONAL FEATURES

1. PRESIDENT BROADCAST :
Any message can be stored in the system. Which will be announce to every
Extension goes off hook.

Procedure for programming :

Step 1 : Dial #3 Beep


Step 2 : Dial XXX (Password)
Step 3 : Dial Code
Code -1- For Recording the message
-2- To play the message
-3- To Activate
-4- To Deactivate
-5- For change password
-6- To Activate with Ring in multiple of 4 extension at a time
And cover all extensions (3 Ring each)
(Note : Factory set password is 119)

2. TALKING CALLED IDENTIFICATION :


System will store last 10 or 3 calls as talking called numbers for each extension.

Procedure to get callers identification through voice

Step 1 : lift the handset and get dial tone.


Step 2 : Dial #50 – for last callers number.
Or
#51 - for last but one caller’s Number
Or
#52 - for last but 2nd callr’s Number
Or
#59 - for last but 9th caller’s Number
Immediately system will announce the extension number who has called.

3. VENDOR ALARM :
This facility informs you the arrival /availability of the vendor

Vendor activation code :


“#21” - PAVWALA
“#22” - BHAJIWALA
“#23” - DOODHWALA
“#24” - PLUMBER
“#25” - ELECTRICIAN
How to activate vendor alarm

Step 1 : lift the hand set


Step 2 : dial the required vendor activation code & hangup
Above procedure stores your request for the vendor.

How it helps :
Your telephone instrument starts ringing. When your programmed vendor arrives.
As soon as you lift the handset system will also announce (voice prompt) the
Name of the vendor available to remind you to avail his service and it
Automatically deactivates your request for the vendor.

Above procedure clears your request for the vendor.

How it helps :
While activating the vendor alarm by mistake if you have dialed wrong vendor,
You can clear it by above steps.

INSTRUCTION FOR VENDORS :


After arrival of vendor in the gate the respective code should be pressed by
Respective vendor from the security extension.

How to activate :

This stores the arrival of the vendor. System voice prompts to the extension who
Have activate the request for the particular vendor.
While vendor is going back after finishing the work, he has to deactivate the
alarm by dialing his deactivation code from any of the lobby/security extension.

4. ELECTRONIC DOOR SENSOR INTERFACE :


 If your flat is fitted with a door sensor, it will give alarm when any
unauthorized entry takes place.
 Door sensor consists of lock and key fitted next to your door.
 Lock & key is used to activate and deactivate the door sensor.

Operation of the Door Sensor :


 To activate the door sensor, keep the lock in arm mode.
 To deactivate the door sensor, keep the lock in disarm mode
(yellow / blue dot)
 When the sensor is on active mode, a 3 digit password to be dialed from
any extension prior opening of the door else alarm will sound.

Dialing of password
Go to any extension
Press #6 followed by our extension / flat number
Dial your password

To change your password


From your extension
Dial #752 followed by your old password
Dial your new password and hang up

Note :
 You can have only one valid entry or exit after dialing your password
 Deactive the sensor as soon as you enter your house to prevent unintended
alarm
 Initially for flats, password have been set to 119
5. CALLER ID INTERFACING FACILITY :
Any standard telephone instrument having CLIP (DTMF type) or separate Caller
ID (DTMF type) equipment can be connected to the extension. This will display
the extension number from where you are receive the call.
This is a restricted facility, for this facility to be allowed to any extension you
have to programme the system from the master extension.

Procedure for programming Caller ID facility :

Step 1 : Dial # 711 - wait for beep


Step 2 : Dial the required extension numbers – wait for beep

Step 1 : Dial #701 - wait for beep


Step 2 : Dial the required extension numbers – wait for beep

6. PANIC ALERT BUTTON :


There is a separate Panic Alert Button fitted next to your instrument, In case of
emergency, press the Panic Alert button. Alarm Bell/Siron will ring at the
Security with your Flat No. flashing on the display board.
Note : Press the panic in extreme emergency only.

Dip :1) Dip Switch no.4 in CPU card (WALL MOUNT Model) should be in ‘ON’
position
for thisfeature to be active
2) DIP switch no.8 (TABLE TOP MODEL) should be in ‘ON’ position
for this feature to be active

7. CABLE TAMPER ALERT:


To activate this feature, the extension telephone should be terminated with resistor
as directed.

Procedure to enable cable tamper alert :

Step 2 : Dial the required extension numbers, wait for beep

Procedure to deactivate cable tamper alert :


Step 1 : Dial “#702”
Step 2 : Dial require Exp. No.
This Procedure is required only during installation.
Note : 1. DIP switch no.4 (WALL MOUNT Mode) should be in ‘ON’
position for this
feature to be active
2. DIP switch no.8 (TABLE TOP MODEL) should be in ‘ON’
Position for this feature to be active

8. PAGING FACILITY :
From any extension Dial “#49” You will directly get into the paging announcing
Port . If the paging port is busy you will get busy tone.

C) FLEXIBLE NUMBER PROGRAMMING


(Applicable for WALL MOUNT model) &
(TABLE TOP Models)

ENTERING PROGRAMMING MODE :


DIAL “#759 – XXX” FROM ANY EXTENSION
XXX = PASSWORD (DEFAULT PASSWORD IS 119)
DIAL TONE WILL GET CHANGED TO PROGRAM MODE TONE
FURTHER REFERRED AS Programme Mode Tone
DIAL # AT ANY STAGE OF PROGRAMMING TO GET BACK TO
Programme Mode Tone.

1. DEFINING EXTENSION NUMBER :

PP = Port no. from 01 to 64 - in WALL MOUNT Model
PP = Port no. from 001 to 256 in TABLE TOP MODELS
NN= Extension Number can be 2/3/4 or 5 Digits
You have to Dial “*” After 2/3/4/5 Digit extension number if single Digit 9/8
Acess is Enable then you cannot start the extension number by 9/8.
Eg : Define port 01 or 001 as extension 101
Dial 200-01-101 * or Dial 200-001-101*
Note : As a confirmation of the programme, System will give a beep over
telephone handset, and CPU buzzer buzzes once. If programmed extension
number already exists or any conflict in extension number like 100 already
exists & you are trying for programming extn. No. 1000, system will give
error tone of 8 beeps & CPU buzzer won’t buzz.

2. ERASING / DELETING PARTICULAR PORT :


If by mistake or wrong programme happens, you can erase that by the following
Programme.

Dial 201 - PP (PP = 2 digit Port Number in WALL MOUNT Mode )


( PP = 3 digit Port Number in TABLE TOP MODELS )
This will blank he extension number of particular port.

3. DIFINING DISPLAY PORT :


System can handle 15 different (independent) displays with can be assigned to
Different ports. Normally display will indicate time & whenever that particular
port gets an incoming call. It displays the calling extn. No.
For defining port & its display no :

Program Mode Tone

Dial 202-PP-DD
PP = port No. where display is connected.
DD= Display No. (01 to 15) it’s respective display
00 = will erase the display assigned to the port.

Eg. = For defining port 01 as display 01.

8. DISABLE SECURITY EXTENSIONS :

This is useful for defining as a normal Extensions.

9. DEFINE DISPLAY NUMBER FOR PANIC INDICATION :


In case of multiple displays to select, each wing display for panic indication
Independently, below programming is useful.

13. VOICE ANNOUNCEMENT :


This is available only when Talking caller ID card is installed in the system.
 For getting the port number
lift the handset and dial “#48”
 For getting the extension number
lift the handset and dial “#44”

14. TO DEFINE PORT WISE EXTENSION NUMBERS :


To define the extension nos.in fast mode.
Dial 207 - (System 1st Display ) will show Port No.
- Dial Extension No. * (max 5 Digit Extn.No.)
- After System acceptance, display will show next port no.
- Dial Next Extn No. & So On.

15. TO CHECK EXTENSION NUMBER ALLOWED TO PORT :


Dial 206 - Port No.
- Immediately Display1 will indicate the Ext.No. of that port
- For Next – Dial 6
- For Previous – Dial 4

16. FACTORY SET OF EXTENSION NUMBERINGS :


By this programme system numbers will get changed to factory set Nos.
After factory set program
Extension numbering will be set from 200, 201, 202……
With port Nos. – 01/001, 02/002, 03/003……
Note : System CPU start buzzing, wait till the end of buzz

20. RESETING PASSWORD THROUGH HARDWARE (in WALL MOUNT


model)
If you forgot the password or is erased due to power fluctuationa, Do following to
reset the password.
Step 1 - Switch off the system
Step 2 - Short the 2 pin stub labled at U-32 in the CPU with the help of the screw
driver or any conducting material.
Step 3 - Switch on the system by keeping the 2 pin stub shorted.
Step 4 - Remove the shorting of the 2 pin stub.
Now the programming password will become 119 (Default Password)

D. TECHNICAL DETAILS

A) WALL MOUNT (Wall Mountable System Up To 64 Lines)


WALL MOUNT security intercom system has the following cards

1. CPU CARD
2. SUBSCRIBER CARD
3. POWER SUPPLY CARD
4. MAINS TRANSFORMER

1. CPU CARD:
Central Processing Unit (CPU) card controls the functioning of the system. It is
based on Intel 89c52 Microcontroller with time division multiplex technology. The
major functions like sensing of on/off hook, dialing,ringing,voice switching,display
signaling of each extension is handled by software programmed in the flash
memory of micro controller. Real time clock (rtc) with battery back up is interfaced
to microcontroller for updating time. The tone (dtmf) Dialing signal decoding
circuit is also placed in the cpu.

2. SUBSCRIBER CARD:
Each subscriber card is capable of handling 16 extensions intercom lines, Functions
Of sub card are as under.
a) Generating line voltage of 24V for each line with the 36 mA line current
b) Generating ring voltage of 75V rms for each line
c) Decording of on/off hook of each line
d) Decording cable tamper / panic of each line
e) Encoding & Decoding of voice switch

3. POWER SUPPLY CARD:


Generates following output voltages
CN 3 & CN 4 - to Subcards

CN 2 To CPU Card
A) 5V dc – 1 Amp
B) 24V dc – 1 Amp
C) 75V rms – 100MA
Protection fuses are provided on power supply card
F1 – 24V, F2 – 5V, F3 – 75VAC with fuse & Mov protects.

4. MAINS TRANSFORMER :
Primary Voltage rating :- 230V AC 50 HZ
Secondary Voltage rating :-
1) 24V AC 1 Amp
2) 9.2V AC 1 Amp
3) 75V AC 0.1 Amp
