Q. 4. Consider a “Fixed Deposit” system, which allows customer to perform
various transactions. Discuss different scenario’s and draw a sequence diagram.

Indian Bank provides Fixed Deposit (FD) schemes through which people
can deposit money for a certain period of time. The bank pays interest for
this period and returns money when FD period is over. Interest rate
depends upon the period.
The depositor may choose to renew FD and may get loan against deposits.
Consider the above case and draw following diagram:

A system is to be designed for a departmental store dealing in consumer
items. Members enjoy facility and can purchase items as and when he or
she needs them. Store has several counters and one can get almost all kinds
of consumer items after visiting these counters.
He/She becomes member by paying initial membership amount and gets a
credit card. This has to pay his/her outstanding on quarterly basis. System
sends reminders to the members. Defaulters are not allowed to purchase
items until the default amount is cleared.
