Daily Lesson Plan


Grade 11- Oral Communication
(June 10-13, 2019)
I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
a. explain the nature and process of communication;
b. differentiate various models of communication;
c. discuss functions of communication; and
d. distinguish the unique features of one communication process from
the other;

II. Subject Matter


A. Topic Fundamentals of Communication
B. Instructional Materials Instructional Materials: Projector, Laptop, Magazines
C. References Oral Communication in Context for Senior High School, pp.2-7.
III. Procedure
A. Introductory Activities
- Checking of attendance
- Review The teacher asks the students what is communication for them.
- Motivation The teacher divided the class into four, then she let them present what
communication is through song, role play, and doodle.
B. Lesson Presentation From each group presentation, the teacher asks each group the
weaknesses and strengths of its group before, during and after
presentation of the output.
- Did each member of the group participated and communicated
with each other well?
- Why it is important to have a clear communication?
C. Discussion The teacher presents and discusses the definition of Communication,
Its Nature, Elements, Models, and Functions.
The teacher calls two students to present the examples in models of
communication.
D. Application The students flashes examples in the Functions of communication and
have the students guest what function it is.
E. Generalization Same group, the teacher lets them complete the semantic web with a
Word or group of words relevant to communication. Each group can
assign a representative to gather and/or consolidate the responses of
the class.

F. Valuing After learning what communication is all about, students are able to
communicate well with the others to promote a good relationship.
IV. Evaluation In the activity notebook, Students identify the function of
communication in each of the following situations.
V. Assignment Review on the Features of an Effective Communication.
