WordPress Release Management

1. Take a full backup of the current WordPress site, including the home directory and SQL databases, using CPanel's Backup Wizard. 2. Download and install the All-in-One WP Migration plugin on both the source and target sites. 3. Use the plugin to export the site from the source as a file, then import this file to the target site to migrate the full site over to the new location.

Tasks
Take a back up of the current site via CPanel->BackUp Wizard. Take Home dir & SQL databases back up seperately
Download All-In-One Wp migration ver 6.76 plugin via wordpress
Increase the memory and speed limits by making changes in wp-config.php & .htaccess files in CPanel under public_htm
Click on the plugin and click EXPORT TO FILE. This will take a back up of the site
Go to the target site to which the back up has to be uploaded. Delete if there is a wordpress installation via CPanel
Install wordpress anew and also install All-In-One WP Migration 6.76 plugin
Repeat step 3 for the target site
Go to the plugin and import from file. Choose the file downloaded from step 4
It takes a while to upload depending on the connection
Once the upload is done login of the old site from which backup was taken need to be used to login to the new site
