Earthquake Semi Detailed Lesson Plan

This lesson plan outlines how to teach students about how earthquakes generate tsunamis. The objectives are for students to understand how tsunamis are formed, why they don't always occur with earthquakes, and participate in a group activity using a puzzle. The lesson includes reviewing seismic waves, watching videos on tsunamis, discussing how earthquakes cause tsunamis through displacement of water, and the different causes of tsunamis. Students will then watch a safety video and answer questions about tsunami preparedness. An evaluation with multiple choice questions assess student learning, and an assignment requires further research on the topic.
