Selecting a right cleanser is very important specially if your skin is sensitive. Select a pH balanced
cleanser, it is always advisable to go for a low pH based cleanser that also works during winter since at a
particular point of time our skin becomes dry and it helps in hydrating our skin. Our skin’s pH balance
usually stays between 4.5 to 6 so, one can select a cleanser whose pH balance is 5 or 5.5. If you are
facing acne issues then low pH balanced cleanser is best for you since low pH is more acidic and often
fight bacteria that usually brings up issue like acne and more. And if you have a normal skin type i.e. not
too dry and not too oily, then a choose cleanser that best suits your skin.
Cleanser usually removes the dirt but not the dead cells. Dead cells are mainly known as “Keratinocytes”
made up of fibrous protein keratin. They gradually move up and reach the outer layer of the skin where
they die and forms various layers of dead cells also known as “stratum corneum” leading to creating
excess oils, clogged pores, acne and more that’s why exfoliating your skin is a must. You can choose a
suitable exfoliating scrub that is gentle and contains small granules.
APPLICATION OF SERUM
Applying Serum post-exfoliation helps penetrate the rich vitamins and other active ingredients deeply
into your skin. Serum is basically a very light moisturizer that penetrates in your skin leaving it smoother,
reduces pores, increases moisture levels and minimizes big concerns like wrinkles. It is advisable to buy
serum that contains Vitamin C for smooth skin.
APPLICATION OF MOISTURIZER
Apply a good moisturizer that offers all day long hydration along with SPF or if your moisturizer doesn’t
offer SPF, you can apply sunscreen after the application of your moisturizer. This will act as a smooth
base for application.
Primer sets a base for your makeup leaving smooth skin as well as protect your moisturizer.
POST-MAKEUP SKIN CARE
Now it is very important to remove your makeup allowing your skin to breathe!
You have several options of removing your make up like using wet wipes, moisturizer cream and cotton
or using makeup removal micellar water for easy removal of your makeup.
You can further clean your face using pH balanced cleanser for proper removal of makeup.
USE A TONER
Using a toner is important for maintaining skin’s pH level as well as closing the pores of your skin.
Last but not the least moisturizing your skin is a must. Use vitamin E based moisturizer for maintaining
health of your skin.

Lipstick and lip gloss/shinner can be moisturizing, but a gloss will keep your lips more moist. Both will
give a shiny look to your lips, but it is a lip gloss that will give a better shine and wet look to your lips as
compared to a lipstick.
