Flour Mill PDF

This document describes a prototype flour mill that works using the principle of attrition. Grains are fed into one end where they are crushed between a stationary grinding wheel and another connected to a motor via a belt and pulley system. The crushed grains then discharge out the other end of the enclosed container. A 9V DC motor powers the grinding wheel to crush and grind the grains into flour.

The prototype flour mill is works on the principle of Attrition. Attrition is a mechanism
of crushing material between two rubbing surfaces under pressure.

In this project one grinding wheel kept stationary and another wheel is connected to the
motor through belt and pulley. Whole assembly of grinding wheels are kept closed in the
container to avoid spilling of the crushed grains. From the top of the flour mill, through hopper
grains are fed for grinding. The ground product is discharged through the exit end. The mill is
operated by 9 volts DC Motor.
