EXAMINATION RULES/REGULATIONS

CERTIFICATE IN LAND SURVEYING ( ONE YEAR ):

Survey Training Institute is affiliated with Punjab Board of Technical Education Lahore
for the award of certificate in Land Surveying.

General Rules and Regulations:

Eligibility: For eligibility to appear in the examination a candidate must be:

a. Enrolled in STI affiliated with the Board.


b. Registered with the Board for the particular course.
c. Regular in attendance as laid down in rules and passed the sessional examination.
d. Head of the Institute must be satisfied of his/ her conduct.
e. Head of the Institute must be satisfied about his/her satisfactory performance in the
prescribed courses of study in term of Assessment Rules for the Institutional
Examinations.

Methodology:

a. Class Attendance/Participation
This is the responsibility of Institute to check/ensure the maximum class
attendance/participation. Students below 80% attendance will not be admissible to
appear in examination.

b. Sessional Performance:
The Institute is responsible to assess the sessional performance of students which
consist of practical exercises/quizzes/assignments.

c. Final Examination:
It will be consisted of both theory & practical examination papers. For the conduct of
final examination following procedure will be adopted:-

i. Preparation of Papers. Written examination is arranged by PBTE

ii. Marking of papers: Carried out by PBTE.


iii. Grading System. Following grading system is adopted.

Grade Percentage
A+ 80% and above.
A 70% to 79%
B 60% to 69%
C 50% to 59%
D 40% to 50%
Fail Less than 40%.

iv. Maintaining of Result Record. Final Result is announced by PBTE


v. Failing Candidates:A Candidate failing in theory/practical portion of the
subject is required to clear the failing subjects in the next examination.
