 Concrete Vibrator. Consolidate freshly poured concrete so that

trapped air and excessed water are released and the concrete

settles firmly in place in the formworks.

 Glass Readouts Thermometer. Reads the temperature of a

freshly mixed Portland cement concrete during concreting.

 Meter Tape. This is used when measuring the thickness of slabs,

the length of the bottom bars and top bars spacing and on other

inspection which is in need to know the appropriate measurement.

 Concrete vibrator is a construction tool typically used on concrete

pouring sites. These machines and an assortment of attachments

are designed for multiple applications built by a variety of

manufacturers. The vibrators are used to ensure that the pour is

free of air bubbles and are even. This is so that the concrete

remains strong and has a smooth finish even after removal of the

form work.

 Skidder is any type of heavy vehicle used in a logging operation for

pulling cut trees out of a forest in a process called "skidding", in

which the logs are transported from the cutting site to a landing.

 Vibro hammer. The vibratory piling machine transfers vertical

vibrations to the pile via the hydraulic clamp. This, in turn, transfers

vibration to the ground which reduces the friction between the pile
and the ground allowing the pile to be driven or extracted with less

force. The pile is driven into the ground by a combination of the

vibrators weight and the centrifugal force it produces.

 Dump truck is a large-engined truck with a deep, open bed in the

back that can be filled with items to transport. Dump trucks can

come in handy for several uses, including cleaning out your home

before moving, cleaning up a construction site, or moving materials

like lumber, scrap metal or rubble.

 Skid loader, skid-steer loader or skidsteer is a small, rigid-frame,

engine-powered machine with lift arms used to attach a wide

variety of labor-saving tools or attachments.

 Pumpcrete. The boom pump uses a remote controlled robotic arm

to place concrete where it needs to go, and they are often used in

large construction projects. Boom pumps are able to pump

concrete at high volumes and are extremely accurate, which is why

they are used for larger projects.

 Transit mixer is a piece of equipment that is used for transporting

concrete/ mortar or ready mix material from a concrete batching

plant directly to the site where it is to be utilized.

 Chain Block (also known as a hand chain hoist) is a mechanism

used to lift and lower heavy loads using a chain. Chain blocks

contain two wheels which the chain is wound around. When the

chain is pulled, it winds around the wheels and begins to lift the
item that is attached to the rope or chain via a hook. Chain Blocks

can also be attached to lifting slings or chain bags to lift the load

more evenly.

 Man lift. A boom lift is essentially a type of aerial work platform

used by personnel to reach high places. A basic boom lift consists

of a platform, or bucket, with a long, jointed crane run by a

hydraulic lift system and attached to a grounded base.

 Mobile crane is a cable-controlled crane mounted on crawlers or

rubber-tired carriers or a hydraulic-powered crane with a

telescoping boom mounted on truck-type carriers or as self-

propelled models.[1] They are designed to easily transport[2] to a

site and use with different types of load and cargo with little or no

setup or assembly.

 Crawler crane is generally a lifting machine which is mounted on a

tracked moveable platform. This crane is capable to perform lifting

operations on different ground surfaces, even soft grounds because

the entire weight of the machine is equally deployed on the tracked

platform.

 Tremie is used to pour concrete underwater in a way that avoids

washout of cement from the mix due to turbulent water contact with

the concrete while it is flowing. This produces a more reliable

strength of the product.

 Drilling rig is a machine used by drilling contractors and drilling

services to drill holes in the ground in order to extract natural

gases, mineral deposits and oil. They can also be used to extract

rocks or other material for later testing. In some cases, they can

even be used to create an underground network of tunnels for the

construction of subway lines or a network of plumbing.

 Hopper is a large cone-shaped device into which substances such

as grain, coal, or animal food can be put and from which they can

be released when required.

 Road roller (sometimes called a roller-compactor, or just roller) is a

compactor type engineering vehicle used to compact soil, gravel,

concrete, or asphalt in the construction of roads and foundations.

Similar rollers are used also at landfills or in agriculture.

 Dumper trucks are used for the transportation of various loose

materials such as sand, earth and gravel. The dumper typically

carries its load in a skip which is situated in front of the driver –

using hydraulics, the skip tips to dump the load. The modern day

dumper can be used in a variety of different projects to transport

various materials around the site.

 Desanders and desilters are solid control equipment with a set of

hydroclones that separate sand and silt from the drilling fluids in

drilling rigs. Desanders are installed on top of the mud tank

following the shale shaker and the degasser, but before the
desilter. Desander removes the abrasive solids from drilling fluids

which cannot be removed by shakers. Normally the solids diameter

for desander to be separated would be 45~74µm, and 15~44µm for

desilter.

 Jackhammer (pneumatic drill or demolition hammer in British

English) is a pneumatic or electro-mechanical tool that combines a

hammer directly with a chisel. Hand-held jackhammers are

generally powered by compressed air, but some are also powered

by electric motors.

 Breakers, also known as a hammers or hoe rams, are powerful

percussion tools used for breaking up concrete or rock. They can

be fitted to excavators and are powered by auxiliary hydraulic

systems. They are similar in function and operation to hand-held

pneumatic drills.

 Chipping hammer is a tool used to remove welding slag from a

weld and welding spatter from alongside welds. Used by carefully

swinging and hitting the weld to shatter the slag. To remove spatter,

use the wide flat part of the chipping hammer and slide along the

surface of the job. It can be used to remove slag when standard arc

welding is performed as slag is not produced when mig or tig

welding is performed. It is also used to remove welding spatter in all

welding processes.
 Silos are widely used for the storage, handling, and transportation

of bulk solids in industries. Silo behavior has been extensively

studied in terms of wall pressure and flow for different situations

such as filling, storage, and discharge.

 Cross-Hole Analyzer evaluates the quality of the concrete of deep

foundations by the Crosshole Sonic Logging (CSL) method. It also

performs Single Hole Sonic Logging (SSL).

 Mud tank is an open-top container, typically made of square steel

tube and steel plate, to store drilling fluid on a drilling rig. They are

also called mud pits, as they were once simple pits in the earth.

 Piles through water and soft upper soil layers shall be provided

with a permanent steel casing if shown on the Drawings. The pile

boring shall be carried out using a temporary steel casing bored to

the pile toe or to a level approved by the Engineer. The temporary

casing shall be withdrawn.

 Falsework consists of temporary structures used in construction to

support a permanent structure until its construction is sufficiently

advanced to support itself. For arches, this is specifically called

centering. Falsework includes temporary support structures for

formwork used to mold concrete in the construction of buildings,

bridges, and elevated roadways.
