ACKNOWLEDGMENT

I would like to extend my sincere thanks to delhi commission for protection of


child rights (DCPCR) for giving me internship opportunity in their organization
under the various division of JJ act for a period of 30 days from 3 june to 3 july
2019.

I would take this opportunity to thank the entire committee members of DCPCR
who have guided me throughout this journey and supported me in all my
endeavours.

Also ,I extend my special gratitude to our supervisor Mrs Rita Singh ( member)
who has been encouraging mentor and a valuable source of guidance throughout
the internship period.
OBJECTIVES AS AN INTERN

1. Comprehending the operation of NGO

2. Identify the role of DCPCR in protection of child rights

3. The trainee will develop professional identity as a social worker

4. The trainee The trainee will learn to apply the values and ethics of the
profession and develop the capacity to work constructively

5. The trainee will develop a knowledge base and the related skills needed to
work for social justice on behalf of population at risk.

6. The trainee will develop a sense of self awareness the ability to appraise and
evaluate the work

7. The trainee will develop and demonstrate the skills of critical thinking.
ASSIGNMENT EXECUTED

1. VISIT TO THE RANGPURI PAHARI VASANT KUNJ, SINDHI BASTI

 Trainee was assigned ti visit rangpuri pahari where we dealt with the
members of basti ,children.they were facing water shortage problem
since long time

 Trainee along with supervisor collaborated with the concerned


authorities

 Trainee completed her task and reported the same to respective


member

2. DRAFTING ACTION TAKEN REPORTS

 My supervisor further explained the procedure of seeking the action


taken report (ATR) from the concerned authorities ,through the medium
of a report ,first reminder,second reminder etc and calling the authorities
to revert.

 Trainee drafted ATR and had to state what kind of action had been asked
to take whether the action taken by the authorities was appropriate and
satisfactory.

3.VISIT TO SAMAYPUR BADLI INDUSTRIAL AREA

 Trainee visited to the industrial area and saw the condition of the
area there .
 We visited 12 anganwadis at their and looked their working
schedules
 Informed the heads of each anganwadi about the sanitation and
hygiene camp
 The main aim was to gather 5 girls above 14 and the needy
married women who have menses from each anganwadi and give
them free sanitary napkins for 1 year , health kit and giving them
knowledge how to keep themselves clean in these days .
 The main aim of visit was to know the status of realization of
right to health and nutrition in pre school children,right to
education.

LEARNING AND OUTCOMES

 my internship at dcpcr has taught me more than I could have


imagined .as a social work intern ,I feel my duties were diverse
and ever changing.

 Being able to work with other people in the department and


office is key

 It most importantly ,taught me significance of team work in our


life nn

 While working with the members of dcpcr and my co interns I


learnt how to teamwork can elp bringing about a difference in
the society and how can the toughest situation become easy
 Trainee is now able to apply critical thinking skills within
the context of professional social work practice.

 Trainee improved her personal skills , interpersonal


skills,societal skills
