On the last day of the week, Engr. Deo Sumer gave a lecture on 3D
analyst. He showed the Digital elevation models (DEM), digital terrain
models(DTM) and digital surface models(DSM) and their applications in
Agriculture, Environmental management and Meteorology. He also showed
the different ways on surveying data using LiDAR, radio waves and satellites.
He demonstrated how to create DEMs on arcmap and how to add contours.
We, then, created 3D views of the two dimensional maps we made. With this
3D analyst, we can create and visualize spatial data to provide better insight,
reveal trends and solve problems.
