Our Building Projects to
Commence Soon!
On behalf of the Building Committee, I am grateful
for each FBC family that has pledged support for
the BuildTOGETHER campaign. And, for those who
haven’t made a pledge, there’s still time! With nearly
$3.5 million pledged to date and $517,763.62 given,
we are ready to begin two renovation projects and
we continue to plan for the new FBC Caring Center.
You will soon see the Media Center and Main Sanctuary foyer areas transformed
into a construction zone. This project is estimated to take 10-12 weeks to
complete. The result will create a more open foyer area that facilitates welcome,
fellowship and openness for all who come to God’s First Family.
The renovation of the first floor of the Miller Building, on Adams Avenue, will
also begin within the next month. That area will become the worship and
education space for our vibrant International Ministry.
We continue to refine the design of the new Caring Center to replace the
deteriorating Huff Community Ministries Building. Based on the input of our
FBC family, we have an initial exterior design that incorporates many elements
of our existing buildings and makes the Caring Center congruent with our
beautiful FBC campus. The
demolition of the current
structures and construction
of the new Caring Center
will be considered by
the Architectural Review
Board on August 27th.
Please join us in praying
that our project is
approved without delay so
we can build a functional Caring Center that will allow us to more effectively
meet the physical and spiritual needs of those less fortunate in the heart of
downtown and beyond for many years to come.
Thank you for your financial and prayer support of these building and
renovation projects. It is my prayer that we will create buildings and spaces
that serve as God’s Great Commission and Great Commandment ministry
tools to build His Kingdom for His glory and for our good!

With gratitude,
Justin Aday | Building Committee Chairman
