Sent: 07 August 2019 12:07 To: Owen Ward Subject: Camden Complaint

Shona Andrews from Keep Britain Tidy replies to Owen Ward about his complaint regarding Camden. She offers to pass Owen's complaint along to contacts at Camden council if he agrees. She also advises Owen to log issues on Camden's website to create a paper trail. Shona suggests Owen contact his local councillor and identify any community groups in his area that could help with litter as budgets cuts have councils relying more on volunteers.

Subject: Camden Complaint

Hello Owen,

Apologises for the delay in replying, we are on limited staff due to holidays.

Camden are part of our Network and as such we do have contacts within the council. I can if
you wish pass on your complaint, please let me know if you are ok with this.

Also, Camden have a reporting page on their
website: https://www.camden.gov.uk/environmental-issues I would advise logging every issue
then there is a paper trail and Veolia will be able to identify ‘hot spots’.

Have you tried contacting your local councillor and raising your
issues? http://democracy.camden.gov.uk/mgMemberIndex.aspx?FN=WARD&VW=LIST&PIC=0

It is an ongoing struggle with the budget cuts all councils are facing and they are reliant more
and more on the community and volunteering groups to perform ‘litter picks’. Are there any
community groups in your area that you can identify this as a ‘hot spot’ to?

Many thanks,

Shona Andrews
