Ic Engine Lab Course Outline

This document outlines a course on IC Engines and Turbo-Machinery Laboratory offered to fourth year students at Jimma University's Jimma Institute of Technology Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. The 2 ECTS credit course meets for 3 hours per week and has Turbo machinery and IC engines courses as prerequisites. The course objectives are to determine performance characteristics of pumps, blowers, turbines and IC engines through testing. Course content includes testing the performance of various machines and engines, valve timing, clearance adjustment, fuel properties determination and reciprocating compressor testing. Students are evaluated based on lab reports and a final exam, and are required to attend all practical work sessions.
